You never hear younger people complain about sex in things. Has anyone ever noticed that?
It's always the 50+ year old parent or politician.
Because they're afraid for the children. I wouldn't let my child watch porn either until a certain age, mainly because I'm sick of teenage mothers getting television shows. It sickens me. What people don't seem to realize though is that it's not the government's job to limit your child's exposure by outlawing expression in media, It's YOUR job to not be a s**tty parent.
100% agree with this. ME and ME2 are only played in front of my seven year old during appropriate moments. If I need to talk to Jack or I'm getting close to a love scene, I don't play it until she's asleep. She is always drawn to watching the game during combat or when the Mako or Normandy are zooming around, but I would never, ever let her play the game until she was ready to see everything in it.
I see parents buying their kids MW3 and my jaw drops. My neighbors kid is about my daughter's age, and we have problems letting them play together because my daughter wants to watch cartoons, and my neighbor's kid wants to pick a horror movie out of my collection.
My house, my rules, my personal responsibility to make sure that suggested ratings are enforced, which can be different for every kid.
On the other side of this I have a freind in his late 20's that ****es at protracted sex scenes, its because his dad was from an older generation (was old enough to be my dad, even though I'm 10 years older than him) and felt that prudence in this area was required. It seems like certain values change, and people change with them over time.
