Excluding the "free" DLC packs that you could get with the Signature Edition/New Game Purchase/Pre-Orders, did you actually buy any DLC packs for Dragon Age II?

I didn't buy any. And I bought everything except the Darkspawn Chronicles and Leliana's Song for Origins. Dragon Age II just wasn't that interesting to me.

Discuss!

I used to bump threads faster, but then I took an arrow through the knee.

I got The Exiled Prince and Legacy. I was thinking of trying out Mark of the Assassin soon, though.

Both Legacy and Mark of the Assassin were excellent, though Legacy was my favorite of the two.

Legacy gives you a bit more origin on Malcolm Hawke, as well as a more interaction with your sibling. It felt like it was actually part of the game as whole, rather than something that was tacked on as an after thought.

Mark of the Assassin was good, but there were sections that irritated me. But I also recommend this one, especially if you want a bit more insight into Qunari culture.

Nope. No desire or reason to ever startup da2 again. But some of the changes I've heard about sound positive.

I assume that you you paid the retail price for The Exiled Prince DLC pack?

Nope, I've no interest in playing DAII again. In fact I've not even bothered installing it on my new computer. One play through was enough for me.

This says it all. It's off my HDD and that bad a game won't come back onto it; not for semi-decent DLC I'd have to pay for, not for anything.

Oh no, I got it as part of the Signature Edition. Missed that part in your opening post.

I've been deliberately dragging my feet on buying Mark of the Assassin to see if there was another DLC or patch coming soon.

Weirdly enough, I had a dream the other night about an expansion for DA2 where all of Hawke's companions were different types  of abominations. The whole thing was set in Orlais.

Legacy and Mark of the Assassin shows that Bioware has learned from some of the criticisms in the combat. I.E. we really don't see ninja waves of enemies spawning from the anywhere and they don't use nearly as many weak enemies. They still spawn out of thin air but they have them spawn out of thin air at more logical locations like by doors and other entrances into the room or area. Of course some of these spawning points are just aesthetic and you can't go through it yourself but at least they are trying to make it look like the spawning enemies are coming from somewhere at least.

Yes I bought MotA and Legacy. Both were worth every penny. Still having fun playing them.

Yeah, purchased both and enjoyed them, Bioware has really improved the quality of their story DLCs.

I got the Signature Edition and all the DLCs included with it, so I've only actually bought Legacy and Mark of the Assassin so far. Having only just started a new playthrough of DA2 and in no hurry to finish it, I have yet play either one of them.

The item packs I have ignored completely, seeing them as little more than Bioware's answer to the $2.50 horse armour.

I also preorder Signature Edition and received all the free DLCs included with it.
But I don't buy Legacy and MOTa. I am interested with DLC Legacy but I think I vote DA 2 with my wallet instead.

I bought both Legacy and Mark of the Assassin and these are imo way better than any of the DAO DLCs - and as someone above wrote "worth every penny". But if you strongly dislike DA2 then there's probably still no point in buying them, though.

I got Sebastian with the CE and am really glad I did because if I had payed for that... ugh. Also glad the BE was free, aside from the Mirror and the Maker's Sigh potion it was useless.

I got Legacy which I debated over but wound up really enjoying, and not just because of the gameplay changes.

I also got the first all class item pack.

I have no interest in Mark of the Assassin and don't see that changing anytime soon. Same with the second item packs, I don't need that much stating gear.

Exactly how I felt about both.

Yes, I bought both story DLC, as well as them item packs. I'm a sucker I guess, but I want them to keep making Dragon Age stuff!! :(

I have every DLC. In many ways I enjoy them more than the main game. Legacy is excellent. Mark of the Assassin is almost excellent.

I thought Sebastian was a waste of money but I loved Legacy and MOTA.

They put alot of effort into the DLCs and it shows.

Yeah the DLCs are actually more fun and you can see how much effort went into them.
