I got all of them. Items packs were good if overpowered and Legacy was good. Mark of the Assassin I found rather boring and if I had a do over I don't think I'd buy it.

Is there any promo on the way or do I have to shell out (how much do they cost, again?) the entire price?

I did, all the story DLC's and from the item packs only the first Mage Item Pack. Have to say that I am very satisfied with my purchase.

No. Although the DA2 DLC is superior to the Origin's DLC by a large margin, it doesn't do enough to coax me into wanting to pull out DA2 again.

I've bought all the DLC's for both games except Darkspawn chronicles and enjoy it all. The item packs not only give Hawke lots of gear he/she can use, but also jewelry for the companions. The two story DLCs they have come out with were good. I prefered Legacy to MotA but the latter was worth the few bucks I spent on it.

I REFUSE to buy the item pack dlcs...especially since I can download much better armor set mods for the game. :D

bought legacy, didn't really address the main gripes I had with the game so I will not be purchasing any of the other DLC's.

Nope, I bought every mayor DA:O DLC aside from Darkspawn Chronicles because I enjoyed the game and I had multiple walkthroughs, I didn't like DA2 much so I don't see the point of paying for premium content. Even if it's good (which I believe it is as many people are suggesting) it's moot as long as I don't enjoy the main game.

Unfortunately, when MOTA and Legacy came out I had already completed the game. And since you can't play post-credits, unlike Origins, I said goodbye to the DLCs. It's nice to hear that they were pretty good though.

You can play post game, after a fashion.  Load the very last save that is created for your character, and you will see that you're back at the Amell Estate, and the only place you can go on the map is the Black Emporium, if you have it, until you have DLC to explore.  Technically, the save takes place before the final battle, but your choice regarding Anders/Sebastian is reflected in the character selection screen, and I assume that if you kill anyone else in the endgame, they're greyed out too.

Excluding the "free" DLC packs that you could get with the Signature Edition/New Game Purchase/Pre-Orders, did you actually buy any DLC packs for Dragon Age II?

I didn't buy any. And I bought everything except the Darkspawn Chronicles and Leliana's Song for Origins. Dragon Age II just wasn't that interesting to me.

Discuss!

And here we go again...what is your point exactly?

Nope. Bought every single DLC for Origins, but one play through of this abomination is enough for me.

Ironic you should be the one to say 'here we go again' all ive seen you do is post snarky irrlevent comments in threads which may speak negatively of DA2 and what point is it that YOU have to make? you're clearly not hear to take part in the discussion.

I'm not going to buy any of the DLC unless they produces something which addresses choice and consequence, thats what i really missed from DA2.

Bought all the DLC for DA2 and got the DAO UE after my original vanilla game disk wore out. Favorite DLC's for both DAO and DA2: Legacy, Stone Prisoner, MOTA, and though it's an expansion, Awakenings.
Least Favorite: Liliana's Song, Witch Hunt, and Golems.
Admit, I never played Darkspawn Chronicles.....just wasn't interested.

I bought all the dlc for Origins and winced after every time I finished playing them. I stopped buying dlc a year ago because of the quality that went into them wasn't worth my money. So, for DAII, I was already predetermined not to buy any dlc. I even passed up on Mass Effect's Awakening, and I understood that it was to have revelence to the opening of ME 3. Oh well.

DA:2 DLC is better than Origins DLC.

I pre-ordered DA2 Signature Edition, so I got the DLC that accompanied it, but I wasn't happy with it once I found out that the narrative would never change, even if different choices were made. I originally thought I got a "bad" ending, and wondered if making some different choices (like "killing" Thrask) would improve matters, only to find out that it's pretty much the same story no matter what you chose.

I bought Legacy because a friend highly recommended it, but it turned out to be a mistake because the same problems I had with Dragon Age 2 were present in Legacy (especially the ending), and I haven't purchased MoTA, since the ending railroads Hawke into doing nothing at the end, too.

Yeah I bought both post-release story DLCs, pretty good IMO. Looking back I wonder about the never-on-sale never-depreciating $10 pricetag on both of them in light of all the good deals I've been getting on old/indie games lately, but oh well, I bought them new anyway.

Got Exiled Prince with Signature Edition. Didn't bother with item packs.

Oh well.  If the same developers would have put better quality into Origin's dlc then we wouldn't be having this issue.
