I'm no blind optimist who believes everything the marketers tell you. They'll tell you Origin ****s gold out your CD drive if you download it. There is a difference between blind fanboy belief and some actual optimism that a game will be good.

The point is that, for lots of people here, "being good" means a major letdown. People complains because they see ruined what could have been a "Game of the decade". Most people doesn't think it would be a "bad game", but think BW is screwing what could have been extremely big.

Looking at the forums where complaints have been made, I think people are upset because they want EVERY choice they make to have a massive impact which, in all honesty would never happen anyway. Or they're upset about a choice that would not make sense if adopted 'I wanna side with Cerberus'. Or they've looked at one aspect and then done a generalised sweep of the rest of the game. Either way, comments like 'I know it won't be good' are an insult to the people working flat out to make ME3 I just find them a little off putting, If you are not going to buy the game, then dont but let that be the end of it instead of running yout mouth. (For the record I also hated DA2 but, different team.)

I prefer pessimistic approach, because, if your expectations are low, then you won't be disappointed.

Oh, I did just that, and Bioware still managed to disappoint me.

Unless you were expecting "Gears of War in space", you too will be unpleasantly surprised.

So the problem is that Bioware's vision of the game does not match your own?

I don't get worked up by your posts at all. I get a slightly warm feeling of amusement over the fact that you're completely wasting your time on hating us moronic BioDrones and the games we like when you could be off caring about another game that you actually like. That's it, though.

Since you're done with your early copy of ME3, can you lend it to me?  I would like to play through it before I make the decision to hate it.

"but but Bioware said we would have  choices and those choices would count our choices don't matter."

Yes yes we know but Bioware did what all people in power do - give you the options they want you to have thus giving you the illusion of having  choice.

Bioware doesn’t get to make a choice about what Publisher they have.

However, customers *do* have a choice as to what they wish to have installed on their computer. if the game comes packaged with an objectionable requirement, it is the choice of the consumer as to whether or not they feel that the game is worth the potential risk. BioWare cannot complain if people choose to skip Mass Effect 3 due to the requirement of having spyware installed onto one's computer.

Personally, I'm looking forward to everything Mass Effect 3 has to offer, the melee combat, the multiplayer, the abilities and any other changes. For me, they are the developers that pulled out Mass Effect and Dragon Age (I loved all of them) and I have faith that what they're doing is for the right reasons.
However, I won't be picking up that C&C that they're making. I'm not that much of a fanboy!

It wouldn't be much fun if every new thread was OMG BIOWARE YOU'RE SO AWESOME!!!, would it? It'd only get a few replies, nothing really to discuss there.

Haters post new threads, don't really care much after the first post.
Then fanboys spends pages and pages debating why their biased view is better than the hater's biased views.
It's the circle of life.

And by that wonderful logic, everyone who debates against the 'haters' is a fanboy.

Your hypothesis is pretty flawed anyway. If only 'fanboys' debated, and 'haters' "didn't really care much" past the OP, then there wouldn't be enough fuel to maintain the debates for more than one page.

Could you please use that humanitarianism to let people look foward to ME3 instead of being a tiny bit like Snape and just being a bit cold, let the sunshine, the sunshine in!
