Pissing me off with these spoilers

Nor is that a good argument. I'm not asking for people to stop discussing the leaks. All I ask is that they use SPOILER TAGS. This can be done, people are just dicks.

I can't even scroll through this section anymore without running into spoilers. Just now. JUST THIS SECOND. Some **** (and he deserves every letter) posted a spoiler in the GOD DAMN TITLE.
I know half of you guys have read the leaks and half you guys want to discuss it. GOOD. USE SPOILER TAGS. THis is getting ridiculous . Not everyone wants to be spoiled to death just by reading a bloody topic title. I don't even know how its possible to spoil a game in 3 words but you guys have been doing it every day.
I think mods should start banning people over this. it's getting way out of hand.
wow way a go, you just made yourself look like a tool!

They are indeed dicks. It is not fair at all. And of course it can be done...but it won't.
I can promise you that I won't post spoilers without spoiler tags, but I can't speak for all the other people I have no control of.

Quite frankly, I'm surprise this forum doesn't use spoiler tags. It's really easy to install, and it also uses BBCode.

There will always be trolls that will post spoilers without warning. The mods can do their best, but this is the internet. If you're not willing to take a breif hiatus from BSN then you're running the risk of spoilers.
I already know a fair chunk about the game, but after the demo I'm leaving BSN until I've played ME3. If you're that fussed about spoilers I'd recommend the same. If you really can't be away from BSN for a month and a half then thats up to you.

I'll repeat this for the last time. I am not stumbling into the small spoiler here and there. They are literally being tossed around like skittles. No one here cares about proper forum protocol. They continue to post spoils because they remain unchecked. I bet my ass if Mods started handing out bans for leaks, things would start changing.
A few spoilers here and there is understandable. What we have now is a complete disregard for rules.

People who post spoilers can only be banned after they've done so. Spoilers will still be posted. People can just make new accounts to troll BSN like they did pre-ME2 launch, posting massive spoilers in thread titles. they can only be banned after they've posted the spoilers, so if you really want to stick around on BSN then chances are you will have bits of the story spoiled for you. Bioware can't ban people preemptively.

Also, if you ban people, it'll just tick them off, and they'll start making troll accounts to post spoilers on the weekends when the mods aren't really around.

And there will always be people who don't care about the rules. People that will make a one-off account just to post some spoilers and ****** off a few people. Bioware can't stop that. They can ban them after, but the spoilers will still be posted. Even if the majority of people follow the rules, there will be a handful that don't because they don't care if they're banned.Donnstar wrote...

This place really does need spoiler tags though since that would drastically cut down on it though. Not sure why Bioware doesn't have them.

If you're still on here, and you see a spoiler, you have half yourself to blame. We all knew that it'd be almost impossible to avoid certain spoilers on here once the script was released. Go on a media blackout, or stay and risk being spoiled. It's the same choice people have to make around 2 weeks before a game gets released usually. It just happens to be this media blackout happened 4-5 months beforehand instead. .....This place really does need spoiler tags though since that would drastically cut down on it though. No one is talking about these elusive "spoiler trolls". Hell, I've yet to see any of these trolls bent on spoiling me. pretty useless trolling in my opinion and I know a thing or two about trolling. Obviously nothing can be done about these type of trolls. That however is not my problem. I don't run into trolls trying to spoil me, I run into normal users spoiling who just aren't getting punished.
I am talking about the normal members that post spoils because they are not being held responsible for spoiling. Punish them, they will stop.

No it won't they will just spam the entire forum with spoilers in the title, easy. You are not worth trolling personally to think so is simple self aggrandisement. Ban people and some of them will troll the whole BSN out of spite.

Yes, it is unfair for people to post spoilers without warning and yes, it is against the rules.
However, Bioware simply doesn't have the time or manpower to check every single post in every thread for spoilers, and they can't prevent people making new accounts just to troll people by posting spoilers. They can block them afterwards, but spoilers will still be posted. Even if its only up for a minute or two, that can still be enough.
So you have a choice:
-Take a hiatus from BSN, and other videogame forums, for two months to ensure that the story is a mystery to you when you first play.
-Stay on BSN until the game is released so you can continue to post and be a part of the community, but run the inevitablerisk of spoilers. Seeing as their policy isn't to ban people for mentioning spoilers as of yet, and this is unlikely to change unless the game leaks before release, there is the risk of spoilers from normal users as well.

Third option: Cut down the spoilers being thrown around like it's christmas and spoilers are presents.
What I am asking for is not unreasonable. It is doable. A lot of you keep coming with It's not 100% unavoidable!! SO DEAL!! HAHZAHAHHAH!
This is a bullcrap argument. I know it's not 100% preventable. WHat we have now, however, is a joke. If there is moderation they are slacking off big time. Half of the spoilers I've seen have been up for days. Days. Spoiler tags. That's all I ask. Doable. I don't hear one convincing argument against mine.

That's the type of difficult decision ME3 needs. No 'right' choice. Both have their flaws and advantages.Candidate 88766 wrote...

Right now however, the spoiling has got to go. Half these pups need a serious spanking.
