There seems to be alot of old contradictious information about this feat... Does anyone know for a fact wether this feat works or doesn't work as it should? It doesn't help me if you google because I have been trying to find something reassuring for half an hour on this, and just can't find it.

And yes, I did search these forums too. :P

the wiki doesn't state that it's bugged, therefore it should work as intended^^

Sometimes it changes targets automatically, which is bad since you're usually better focusing your attacks on one enemy, kill it, then moving to the next.

I can confirm it because I've experienced it myself. It's kinda random so you may be lucky and don't have it always happening (maybe it depends on the number of surrounding enemies, getting worse as its number increase, but I could be wrong), but in general I'd stay away from it.

I've played monk a bit and I am certain that circle kick changes your selected target. It is one of the things that makes NWN2 monks less favorable than NWN1 monks, which were juggernauts of destruction.

Circle Kick had that problem in NWN1 too. Monks can be juggernauts of destruction in NWN2, but they need some levels.

I fooled around with a paladin/monk/sacred fist build just the other night, and circle kick certainly works. The target-changing bug wasn't really much of an issue with a group of enemies of similar type and level, since they were all taking damage anyway. I could see it being a problem fighting a boss and some lesser minions though.

The issue is that all those guys are still hurting you, when you could have demolished one of them long ago. It should be possible to change back to your main target, though.

Well, the "bug" or whatever you want to call it, is there, that's what we need to know. From there on, using it or not is a player's decission, though generally it's better to focus on one enemy for the reasons Fred explained.

You can switch targets back again, yes, but that's pretty annoying, and it will switch again. It's not so annoying if enemies come in small groups (of 2, 3), or if enemies are so weak that they die in one hit. Otherwise, I'd personally recommend against it.

You also have to consider things like enemies that regenerate, groups with a certain enemy you may want to kill quickly (like a mage), etc. Again, this depends on environment, but it's something to consider. I like to have control over these things, unless I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to find them.

To summarize, circle kick only works well in fights where it doesn't really matter what you do or who you hit because the fight is super easy. Basing your feat choises on super easy fights is a bad plan though, so why anyone would ever pick this buggy little turd is beyond me.

Yeah, pretty much. If combat is super easy, I guess it can make it kinda faster (not much since monks have lots of attacks already). But, in short, avoid Circle Kick.

It would probably work OK vs very weak foes, combined with Cleave.

Or, in other words, if you're playing the OC. :)

But switching targets means passing on remaining attacks in a given round. And the next round, when you finally get to attack your chosen target, Circle Kick would switch your target again...
