So Dragon Age 2 has been out for some time now.  There has been some DLCs released too.  I wonder if there is an expansion in the works.  I don't think there is anything solid on a DA:3 as it seems too soon.

An expansion the size of or greater than that of DA:Awakenings for DA:2 would be something I'd purchase day of release.  I'm sure I'm not alone on that one.

I spent some time away for DA after replaying DA:O and DA:2 over and over.  Coming back for another playthrough put a smile on my face.  Great gameplay, great story, great characters and lots of humor.  You get attached to it all.

Dragon Age is without a doubt my favorite RPG.  I'd love to see more.  Image IPB

I think the expansion model is practically dead. Having said that, I'd buy one for DA2.

An expansion would certainly peak my interest, i think it would provide an opportunity for Bioware to do what they're unable to with small DLC pieces so i would be very interested in an expansion.

An expansion would be excellent. I've been waiting for one ever since I finished my first playthrough of DA 2.

Expansion model for this would be tricky because of the narrative...but possible...maybe we see Hawke after he leaves Kirkwall or something.

Frankly, I'd rather they work on DA3. But hey, that's just me.

Only if Hawke gets to prowl around the streets of Kirkwall at night as a masked avenger.

With an expansion they can get perfect their new model of gameplay, balance out the story of hawk a bit more, and that'll provide a better point for DA3 to start off on. here's hoping

If the expansion can be as high a standard as the dlc has been then a big yes :)

Given that DA2, while not a failure, was not a great critical or commercial success, an expansion doesn't seem very likely.

I'd buy it, though.

I'm just hoping for a third DLC before DA3, I doubt an expansion is in the works.

An expansion would be excellent to actually put closure to Hawke's story rather than keeping it open like they did with the Warden's that's gotten constantly criticized. Unfortunately, they may deem it not profitable enough since I don't think they cared for Awakening's sales.

If MOTB can redeem NWN2 then an expansion is what this company needs to regain the franchises reputation.

My guess is that we may see another piece of dlc before ME3 launches, and that's about it. There is no way in hell we will see a proper expansion pack for a game like this. While DA2 wasn't a complete failure, it wasn't successful enough either to expand upon in such a way.

Signing it, underlining it, getting behind it.

It's not going to happen. The expansion model is dead, DLC is way more profitable.

I think an expansion would be perfect. Whether or not they're profitable, after all the lessons learned and all the feedback heard from, it would be a great way of showing that Bioware has learned from the mistakes of DAII and letting us continue into the story of DAIII from a much better note in terms of quality.

But that's just my opinion, and probably not the opinion of whoever's behind money-making.

I'd love to see an expansion to have more DA content and perhaps reassure some of the people who've lost faith in the franchise after DA2. We really need something to end the "DA2 sucks, I am never buying a BioWare game again" talk.

I cannot see any new content being released for DA:II at this point, sadly.

It would be a pretty boneheaded move on Bioware's part to just stop without saying anything.

So...wait...what? Combat has never changed, it's still fundementally the same. The animations are different. And the combat situations are too. But it's core is pretty much DA:O. But you won't get new animations, but you will get new combat situations, and most probably they will be much better. Legacy and MOTA proved that.

No point, people just don't see it for some reason. Though I can understand if theyre not using the auto attack option on consoles to a certain degree.

Don't know about an expansion would probably be nice but that as others have said is a dying model, wouldn't mind more DLC and I'd assume there'll be atleast one more for the finishing off of hawke's story... would be rather odd to leave things as they are.

I would take his words as a statement, not a prediction.

DA2 definitely needs an expansion, as everyone was feeling let down with the ending. We need the closure and also for something to tie the game into DA3.
