 Is it just me, or does Wrex seem to have superior intelligence to just about every other Krogan encountered so far? Even Grunt was a little smarter than the average Krogan, just with lots of bloodlust. But Wrex seems to be an UberKrogan?

He's smart for sure, but I think it's mostly that he has more life experience that separates him from others of his kind.

He's definitely intelligent, but I don't think he's the smartest.

The mechanic seems smarter when it comes to machinery, and the scientist seems more anatomically knowledgeable.

Hell, Okeer is a clinical genius (He was able to create thousands of genetically engineered Krogan, and a genetically perfect one in Grunt)

The majority of all the people in Mass Effect exhibit a very strong xenophobic view of the galaxy as a whole. So any of them that work extensively with other species undoubtedly are more intelligent because they can benefit from experts they would otherwise be locked off from if their "cultural sensitivities" dictated who they would spend their time with.

He's the best Krogan strategist. A lot more valuable to the Krogan than "smarts" in 2186.

I would argue that Okeer is the smartest.

Not that Wrex is dumb by a long shot, he is visionary and wise amongst his people, which isn't saying much, but Wrex has a plan, and Wrex correctly identifies the second cancer killing his people, not just the genophage, but their fatalism. For this I would make him the wisest, even more so than the Shaman.

Patriarch is a washed up old man that once ruled by the strength in numbers and forgot that the only strength you ever really have is in your own hands and by bonds forged through respect. His men feared him, but loved what Aria had to offer at just the wrong time . . .

Wrex is awesome. The awesomest. He lives and breathes awesome. His plumbing system taps into the liquid rivers of awesome in the Rifts of Urdnot Canyon, meaning he drinks and showers in awesome. He eats steaks of freshly poached awesome every evening, which he has hunted down unarmed and naked with his eyes folded and arms and feet bound. And while Grunt may sh!t dark matter, Wrex sh!ts awesome.

Wrex seems like a typical macho ****** when you initially meet him in ME1. It is only later that Shepard learns that he has a brain in there. He and Grunt have the advantage of having Shepard get to know them. No other Krogan has that opportunity so all we have to judge them by is 1) how quickly they die as enemies, 2) how "funny" the background chatter of the generic Krogans, and 3) how well spoken they are when introducing or closing sidequests. Not much to go on, really.

I believe that Wrex has the most self control over the other Krogan we've encountered, and he's also very experienced. Probably not the smartest (a term that should be used loosely), but he's not as narrow minded as others of his kin.

Came in to say this. A scientist krogan would be "smarter" than Wrex, but he's head and hump above the others in general acumen.

Wrex is the wisest Krogan and most clear headed. imo plus he's just down right the best damn Krogan in the galaxy. Tremble before Wrex's awesomeness
