I have the Ultimate edition, and I'm trying to install it but it's asking me for 24.7GB of space.
Is this right?

Given that HDD storage space has been so very cheap in this era of Terabyte sizes, if it was, it wouldn't really matter. I didn't buy it because it didn't get rid of the necessity to have an online link at inconvenient times. I can't tell you for certain, but it doesn't seem out of the realm of ordinariness.

Short answer: Yes.
Longer answer: About 23.5 GB of data is put into the Dragon Age folder under "Program Files" or "Program Files(x86)" (the latter if you have a 64-bit OS).
Other data, such as saved games, is stored in My Documents>Bioware>Dragon Age. Saved games can add up over time-- each "save" is about 15MB... so if you're a compulsive saver (like me) you could end up with a few more GB of saved files.
