Hello, I have just recently bought my first Neverwinter Nights Complete Edition set.
My friend has also bought this so we could play together but we can't figure out how.
All we want to do is run the the main story of the game if it is possible but we can't find the game on Gamespy's severs and i was wondering if there was another way.
I am new to computer aswell.
thank you much while waiting for a reply i will be searching more on this subject.

Welcome aboard!
Just for you to know, answers might take days sometimes, and I'm not a multiplayer specialist at all to help you any better.
You'd get some help.

hello
your problem may either be a hak issue, if you have them, or a video card issue.
if your using haks, you may need to re-download the tileset hak that your tying to enter in game.
if your not using a hak, its probably your video card. try rolling back the driver, sometime the newer drivers mess up old games.
You also may want to roll back the driver for your sound card, sometimes that too can mess up NWN.

This should probably be posted in the tech subforum but let's at least get a more clear picture of the problem, eh?Satanis wrote...

How does the single-player game play for both you and your friend?
If single-player runs fine, you just need one of you to make a LAN game and then the other direct connect. Just email (or phone if you have extra lines) the addy to your friend. It's possible that the game may show up on Gamespy depending on what options you select when you make a new game, but I wouldn't count on it with the recent plague of woes.
If single-player games won't run properly for either of you, the problem is not an on-line issue, but a machine issue. In that case, determine/correct the local problem first then address multiplayer. It is extremely important that both of you are patched to the same version and I highly recommend that it be v1.69. There are critical rebuilds for all versions still available and links around the Tech forum to find them.
