Can BioWare give the fanbase and potential customers an idea how much of the game will be spent shooting in corridors?

I know this sounds a bit silly but hear me out.

The moderators on the Bioware Social Network often answer questions like yours.

They know what's going on and are probably involved in the production of the Bioware games.

So I was wondering, if you message one of these people your question to one of the moderators for the Mass Effect 3 section, perhaps you'll get an answer before the game comes out.

I'm not sure, but messaging them via Bioware Social Network seems like the thing to do.:police:

With the new Halo energy sword?

Because Halo obviously invented energy swords.

Not every RPG is a Sandbox game (like the Elder Scrolls).

Some RPGs are stories. Mass Effect is one such.

Not that it matters: the Omniblade isn't an "energy sword".

If the mod in question has a "Moderator" tag, then no: they definitely aren't involved.  They're community volunteers.  If they have a "Bioware" tag, they may or may not be involved.  They could be anything from a writer to a programmer to someone in PR.

Thank you, that's something I don't understand. Why do people insist on calling it an "energy sword" when it's a physical blade.

Anyway, this is off topic.

Well, considering that it's a war, I'd bet that there's a lot of shooting involved.

And I don't care if it's a corridor if it's a well designed corridor and not a open and barren wasteland with nothing distinct whatsoever.

Because in their minds they want to be an energy  sword so they can use the  delusional to continue  their baseless complaints about ME 3. Yelling the EA and Bioware are selling out the  Halo and COD... Fan boyz..

its sad really.

Going back to the question about 50% maybe?

I think Bioware is going to mix it up with some shooting in various different environments. But there will probably be a ton of infiltration missions taking out Cerberus Agents (since 40% of enemies are Cerberus ones).

There will be lots of opportunity for stealth and omniblade usage in those corridors. If you're running out of energy, trying to think how to outwit the enemy with the improved cover and shooting, along with new powers, you can complain about light sabres, energy swords, Halo and Call of Duty on Bioware Social Network.

As for me, a well place omniblade attack in a smartly designed corridor for the win:wizard:

What I want to know is what percentage of gameplay is killing bandits in caves? If it's less than 75 percent, then my pre-order is getting hella canceled bro.

what a totally awesome and thought provoking question from an exceptional human being. Did you know that 99.9% of this game is actually fought in a single corridor? The other .01% is spent aboard the Normandy.  But hell that's prolly better than walking through some baren waist land hearing some stupid npcs saying they took an arrow to the knee.

And I guess you don't know of the codex entry explaination?

Although melee-combat applications for the omni-tool are almost as old as the device itself, the feature was largely unused prior to the Reaper invasion. The need to take on multiple husks in close quarters forced the Alliance to develop ways to enhance the tool’s offensive capability.
The most common melee design is the “omni-blade,” a disposable silicon-carbide weapon flash-forged by the tool’s mini-fabricator. The transparent, nearly diamond-hard blade is created and suspended in a mass effect field safely away from the user’s skin. Warning lights illuminate the field so the searing-hot blade only burns what it is intended to: the opponent.
More technically-adept soldiers frequently modify their omni-tools to maximize stopping power through electrical, kinetic, or thermal energy. Some troops integrate the weapon with their kinetic barriers, transforming the omni-tool into a wrist-mounted bludgeon; others fabricate flammable gases, held in place by a mass effect field and ignited upon impact. All prove deadly surprises for opponents who expect a disarmed Alliance warrior.

They exhibit many traits that squids usually do not.  Such as flying, destroying star ships, wiping out civilizations, talking.  They also are not known to shoot ink at people.

Whereas Omniblades look like energy blades and function like energy blades.  The only difference is that they'll probably have a codex entry which most people won't read in which it'll be said that they're not energy blades.

Even if there are same  envoriments reskinned ... you can  overcome that with the types of enemies that you through the player.  God of War is great for this... one platform.  You start fighting say a Cyclopes so you fight on way...  Take the same platform at a Cyclopes, a Satyr and a  Wraith... you whole  approuch to the fight has to change.    Honestly I'm thinking  about  60/40... considering we're doing more open ground warfare.   In ME 2 you have mostly ships.
