I just thought I should throw this out as I see a LOT of debating about paragon/renegade and, I think you guys are overthinking this as I was too ;)

At the end of the day your "alignment" only affected the availability of certain dialogue options. The decisions you make, for good or ill have consequences. This is an important word and concept to think about, consequences - the result of the actions you took.

Whether you made a "paragon" choice or a "renegade" choice, both will have consequences in ME3. Perhaps you rewrote the geth, perhaps you destroyed them. But at the end of the day in ME3, you're going to have allies; Geth, Quarians maybe both (Amongst many others) as a consequence of your decision and they will in turn undoubtedly play a role in your victory over the reapers.

Given that these decisions are the decisions you voluntarily made it's safe to assume you are happy with the decision or you would not have made it.

At the end of the day, neither paragon, renegades or anywhere in between will be "punished" for the decisions they made in the earlier games, simply the outcome of those choices will have an impact on how the war plays out - an outcome that you decided by your own voalition. So what is there to worry about? ^_^

You made your choice, you'll get your outcome, you will undoubtedly be able to play a perfect game, defeat the reapers, and get the closure in a way that reflects your own choices.

What is there to worry about, this is YOUR customisable victory? :3
