I am in my current file a DW Elven Warrior, specced in the infamous Zerker/Champ (Lv 14).
I always include Wynne because healbots win. For her second spec, I'm considering Arcane Warrior. It gives her great defenses and melee capabilities but the armor fatigue may hurt too much.

But I'm open on slots 3 and 4. One has to be a Tank in my opinion. As far as Tank goes, we have Barkspawn (my Dog), Shale, and Alistair / Loghain (I'm probably picking Loghain, don't judge that decision, it isn't the topic at hand). I dunno which to pick.
For slot 4, I'm thinking either another DPSer or Leliana as Ranged support (bonus points for lockpicking). For DPS, my picks are Shale, Oghren (Sorry Sten, Oghren gets a second spec), and Zevran (bonus points for lockpicking possibility but balances with not great armor).

Arcane warrior is an outstanding specialization due to the fact that you can wear armor. When I made my first mage I gave her the spec at 14th level, I still fought with a staff to offset the casting limits with weapons, but took advantage of the tree all the way to the 4th level tier that allows you to exist in the fade. Why arent you usin Morrigan? I would suggest that you go double mage if you have access to her and set up Morrigan to Freeze and Wynne to Stonefist whatever is paralyzed.

I personally like Shale as a Tank, to me he is less annoying than Alistair and has much better DPS than him. But since you are DPS I assume then why not incorporate Leliana for Rogue element and utility??

Oh yeah and I used Wades Drake scale light armor on my mage and she was sick - boatload of fire resistance and I never noticed the fatigue factor

My Wynne has Mass Paralisis ATM (pretty awesome spell) and Stonefist tree until Stonefist itself. And I have the Ice Staff from Warden's Keep (good for Morrigan). Problem I have with Morrigan is she has the Shapeshifter spec, which is a waste IMO if you give her Arcane Warrior.

if you dont mind to manage her, BM will be the best spec for her due to sustained heals and 2 pretty usefull spells

if you want to give her AW just spend 1 point, dont activate the melee buff and give her an armor with bonus to fatigue

No, haven't gone to Redcliffe yet. But, doesn't it require you to be a Mage yourself?

If Wynne is in the party, is a Spirit Healer Morrigan redundant?

nope, SH 1 or 2 is always good for support... group heal is just 1 spell point and can save the day :P

So how abot this setup:

Tank

Me (DW Warrior)

Wynne Spirit Healer / Arcane Warrior on Light Armor (Like Drakeskin as suggested)

Morrigan Shapeshifter / Spirit Healer (Tactic setup to Shapeshift on low Mana, Wynne takes over heals if needed)

I had Wynne go AW just so she could wear armor. Some light Drakeskin goes a long way in helping to keep her alive without a whole lot of fatigue drain. I never used her for melee.

Don't overlook Dog. He's a formidable warrior and an excellent mage killer. He doesn't draw a whole lot of aggro either in my experience.

thats ok, even if actually i'm not that sure that wil drakeskin armor you will get more defense than with mage clothes but anyway drakeskin is very low on fatigue so i guess is ok

to shift morry can be ok but of harder fight you will want to use potions, if you have not yet developed her i suggest to get ice line 4 asap, sleep, hex2 (at least) and complete the force tree. this way will provide some good CC and with crushing prison/force field a good anti mage utility... if instead you want to get storm of the century you can get mana clash and just force field

So Spirit Healer is a better 2nd Spec than Arcane Warrior for Morrigan? I got her upgraded Cold Magic robes and the Warden's Keep Cold Magic Staff if she wouldn't go Armor wearing Arcane Warrior Mode.

well personally i generally prefer SH over AW for a mage... AW is extremely powerfull in its own but it always lose something in pure casting... for morry it depends...

on one side you cant exploit the shimmering shield with morry as she is alredy a shapeshifter, on the other the form stack with armor so, if you get AW you can give her a good armor to make her form more powerfull

so... if you plan to spend a lot in spider form (or another one) AW can be a good complement (even if generally AW will be just better than an animal form :P) if not SH imo is a better choice
