1) Giving Oster or LG a key to your house is EXACTLY equivalent to what EA wants from you as a condition of installing and playing ME3.
No, it isn't. No matter how many times you capitalize, italicize, or underline a hyperbolic, it's still a hyperbolic.
It's surrendering access to a private area of your life to a company in exchange for
buying their product.
If you don't realize the strong parallels between the two, that's your problem.

2) Software is a product, not a service.
Providing a good is a service. It's one of the most fundamental services there are.
No, it's providing a good. There's the fundamental difference between a product, and a service.
The product is something you possess, that the provider cannot take away from you. You may have to use it and obtain more later, but it's entirely yours. The service needs to be purchased as long as it's provided and can be withheld by the provider at their whim.
Many in the software industry want to turn their product into a service, in order to increase their control and create a more constant revenue stream.

3) When I say "I can't", I mean I can't. Maybe you can, but I cannot.
Denial or responsibility doesn't change it. You can, simply because all that is required is a few button presses you are capable of. You won't because it goes against your grain.
Stop confusing an unwillingness to do something with an inability to do it.
That you believe this is just about a few button presses is indicative of your failure to grasp the true nature of what is being discussed here.
