They said all along that the characters were the focus of the game. If you look at it in that way, I think ME2 had a really good story.Rojahar wrote...
ME2's story is bad if one thinks of it as about the Collectors and stopping them, but IMO the real story of ME2 is the "journey" of assembling the squad and preparing for (and ultimately carrying out) a suicide mission. I think when it's thought of that way, it makes a lot more sense overall and was done fairly well. A character story, rather than an adventure.
Has anyone cancelled their preorder after reading the leaked script?

Yet you hang around on the forum devoted to ME3.
No offense intended, but if you've made your mind up that you won't like this game then surely there are better uses of your time than coming here.
Seems incredibly pointless to come to a forum about a game you're not even going to buy or like and just whine about it.
As if it's helping anything.
Agreed.
I don't like DC Comics but I don't go to various DC Comics fourms all over the net and trash them. Why should I try to spoil someone's else enjoyment of them or waste my time arguing with fans of DC Comics about it? When I go to sites and forums about things that I enjoy and talk to other fans about them.
If you don't like Mass Effect 3 that is fine.
But I think you should go somewhere else before you become a troll here.

@OP, Haven't read leaked script, still have my CE still on preorder, it should be noted that the leak script is not the final script so it should be taken lightly

Because your opinion isn't the only valid one, dear. It's a public forum.
Again, it's pointless. Butthurt bickering about how BioWare didn't see their game's full potential or some crap like that serves absolutely no purpose if you're not even interested in the game.
Then again, I have never said that my opinion is the only truth or fact. Funny how misconceptions like that can happen.

See, it doesn't need to. The script will effectively be around 80% of the game, maybe more, as many of the elements present between a very much outdated script and the most recent one are the same. They might change some things but it won't be major, elements will still be the same. The Rachni plot won't suddenly change into something else, for example.

This. I've kept my pre-order strictly for the "steamy" moments between Kaidan and FShep. Deal with it.

I liked the collectors but ME 2 wasn't about the collectors it was about character development and preparing for ME 3, in ME 2 we made decisions regarding the genophage, heretic geth, the collector base, shepard's spectre status, etc.... and if you count dlc we installed a new shadow broker, made a decision regarding whether to let cerberus keep and experiment on david or do the right thing and take him away, and blew up a batarian system in order to slow down the reapers.
I also think who survived the SM might have some consequences in ME 3 and they might be beyond a cameo.

Just because the script doesn't necessarily turn out the way you envisioned it in your head doesn't mean it will be a failure.

Have you heard? This isn't a book it's a game! Execution counts here, also I know for a fact you're over exaggerating with the racni thing, I don't the details but I know it's more than just "the reapers find another one" like you say it is.Dave of Canada wrote...

My question is though. Why read something to spoil yourself in the first place?
Because I think there's one thing to read about a story and another to experience it.
The script doesn't specify how the environments are or how some things leads to other.
There's also several pretty big gaps in there at one point.

That's a very subjective question.
What may be bad to some people may be great to others,
For example, some people enjoyed the Collector plot of ME2, some didn't. Whether it is "bad writing" is a matter of opinion.
