I am surprised there are so many close-minded people here. You are reading a script in alpha state, and cancel your pre-order? Seriously?

That's life and humanity IMO

I thought the collectors were a needles distraction in ME2 that did little to further the main plot of ME1. ME2 was great because of the characters, the side missions. The main mission felt gimped, but this is an old argument. All I can say is I hope things get back on track with ME3.

Well unless you are blind when watching the earth demo it is safe to say the script is where it needs to be because of those giant squid shaped things landing  and killing everything.

Alright smart ass, for all I know we might have to go on another recruitment crusade of some sort. Just seeing the Reapers in some demo doesn't prove squat.

We also see them on Rannoch, Tuchanka, and we know that the Turians have been forced to leave abandon Palevan because of them.  And none of that came from the leak script.  The reapers might not be present for every mission but I am sure they will be a constant presence throughout the game.

In ME2 you blew up their one and only Reaper factory, meaning they have to rebuild it in order to get their reproduction up to speed. This, in the BSN's mind, was somehow a useless move.

It competently wraps up an great series (one that has always had its flaws, but still) as far as I'm concerned. It's hard to say more than that without seeing it in action.

It's worth noting that a lot of details are incomplete and no one knows what's changed since that script was made.

I just can't believe people base their impressions on the game off of lines of code.

Its really silly. I've read the script, but I still feel like I have NO IDEA how GOOD or BAD of a VIDEO GAME it is.

However story is only 35-40% of a game for me personally

KotorEffect - I am smart enough to come up with a better reason than the Rachni consequence in Mass Effect 3. Infact I got an even better plot, for how the Reapers could attack instead of going for Earth. One that does not even involve physically attacking planets and could of easily helped the Reapers.

If that the case and what we did in ME 2  blew up there one and only means of the procreation- I  don't if can't even take that seriously. I'm saying that  your wrong... I'm saying  if the Collector base was their only option.... Imma laugh ..alot .. for a long time.

That being said I'm mostly going to reserve my  Collector   sometime  soon in the coming weeks.

You destroyed ONE reaper at the end of the game you see a CGI video with possibly hundreds of thosands possibly millions. I really doubt one less Reaper would make a difference. Considering the Human Reaper wasn't something just built over night.

Script clearly shows direction of travel. As far as i'm concerned it was worryingly poor. I'm hoping it has been radically improved but i don't blame others if they don't want to Pre-order or don't want to get the game.

Lol i read it, thought about canceling my pre-order, but didn't. Most of the script is good, but i found a few parts cringe worthy and somethings just sound straight out of fan-fic. (If you read the leaks you know what im talking about)

I'm assuming you mean the ugh EDI thing right?

exactly. and the jacob thing too.

I'm beginning to think about reading it just to see what all of the whining is about.

Not sure if I should though.

Ever think it was a logistical issue and not a story issue?

My only recommendation then for you is if you can and believe you can make a better game go for it. ;)

But if you do make a good game whats to say someone like you won't be happy with your choices. Negativity and Positivity is life.

I doubt it.

They cancel that pre-order few times already.

Why keep pre-ordering again then?

Ok oh so brilliant one then how come you aren't working for bioware?  Besides what you might think is a good idea someone else will think is crap.  In the end story elements are always subjective.

We already had an official word from BioWare, sadly it's buried under a massive amount of "I WANT THE GAME TO BE LIKE SKYRIM" threads.

If you've manage to hold out for this long you should keep holding out.  The game is a little less than 2 months from release you are better off letting yourself be suprised.  More likely to enjoy it that way.

What's wrong with the rachni choice anyway? I haven't read the script, is it good for one alignment while screwing the other or is it a different issue?

From what I've read so far, it seems those who read the whole thing, or at least the ending, are disappointed. Me, I haven't read the leak(s) and I wouldn't do it even if I'd get payed to do it.
Anyways, I've got my CE secured at gamestop, and I'll gladly pick it up at release.
Just let those people who are childish enough not to buy the game because of an outdated script, that doesn't show them what they want, have their opinion. Hopefully they'll realize that it doesn't matter.

Bringing back characters to fit into contrived plotlines, making others into stereotypes and the like could've been handled far better, no matter how much someone will always think it's crap. Jacob's situation for example is laughable.
