I guess it depends on how old that script is, but I don't think programming would have started without a solid script in place. It's not like they can make major plot changes when they're well into development. No matter. If I pre order and the game sucks, well it won't be the first time I blew $50. Or I can play it safe and just wait for reviews.

Infact I got an even better plot, for how the Reapers could attack instead of going for Earth. One that does not even involve physically attacking planets and could of easily helped the Reapers.

lol ok than genius why don't you show us your "better reason" and your "better plot" I'm sure it will only help bioware in the future lol.

Basically the same thing happens regardless of what you chose with the rachni queen.

Haven't read the script, nor am I going to. I prefer to stay unspoiled thankyouverymuch.

Even if I did, I'd still keep my preorder. To judge a game I need to play it first.

The demo will be out soon so, people should decide if ME will be worth their money once they played it, it gives them an idea on whats to come

Kotor, just because i can come up with a better reason than just attacking because Humans are there does not mean I have to work at Bioware. The technology the Collectors traded with for certain amount of X, Bioware could of used the technology they traded as a weapon. The technology could of been indoctrination beacons. And since collector technology is quite rare, to would expect very important people to try and obtain them. And if the important people were indoctrinated, they could of easily handed over cities to the Reapers. Admit kotorEffect, It is a genius idea, better than huh huh let's attack Earth because Shepard is Human. The Collector technology could easily be spread onto homeworlds where powerful people would likely be so that multiple homeworlds could be indoctrinated and dominated quicker.

I cancelled my preorder a while ago and reordered it, not because of the leak.

I had originally preordered the game the first day preorders went out. CE from Gamestop's online store.

Then I figured I'd save money on shipping AND get the game faster if I just preordered it in-store. Plus, I have friends who work there and they wanted me to be there.

So I preordered the game(Collector's Edition) from my local Gamestop, and briefly had two copies ready for me, before I cancelled my first one.

As far as the leak is concerned, I haven't read it. I wouldn't ruin some of the story(albeit outdated a tad) before it comes out. Hell, when the demo/beta is out, I'll likely stick to the co-op portion.

Well I read a lot of it, and it does still seem like stuff is missing...Like...Key stuff. I mean, not even the script of The Empire Strikes Back had "I am your father" written down. Maybe theres stuff in there that would blow our mind, but was left out just incase it did leak.

I don't know...its just a thought.

It didn't have the game-altering change they wanted, ignoring the fact that doing so for each and every choice would bloat the budget of this game to near TOR levels.

It didn't need to be game changing, dear. Changing to have more Krogan support or having a different scene (fighting through Rachni tunnels under a city if spared, fighting through the streets if didn't) wouldn't have inflated the budget to hundreds of millions and would've been better than what they've done.

The reasoning for the existence of the Reapers and the like is still in the script, I think that's more than enough.

You get the same mission regardless of your previous choice, but the outcome differs depending on your ME1 choice - saving the Queen presents a different opportunity than if you didn't.

We already had an official word from BioWare, sadly it's buried under a massive amount of "I WANT THE GAME TO BE LIKE SKYRIM" threads.

no....I mean that the official word is a very vague "it's an old script...it was not finalized" ...notice how they are NOT saying how accurate it or INaccurate it was? What does that tell you?

I read some of the leaked script and there were some things I liked and some things I found to be cringe worthy (certain squadmates and their interactions and consequences for choices mostly)

It was definitely not enough to cancel my pre order and I'm still excited for the game!

As for the leaked script being "outdated", I don't think it's quite as outdated as Bioware would like us to believe. There are quite a few elements that make me hope they've actually made some changes, but I'm not really counting on it. Just my opinion.

Except barely anybody who's cancelling their preorder thinks the game will flop. It'll sell, people will like it because it basically what the majority of players want. I'm just not in that majority, nor do most of the people who I tend to agree a lot with on these boards.

I think if I'd read the ME2 plot, I'd have been disappointed, maybe even quite frustrated - I mean, really, I have to work with Cerberus? And where's my old team? But you know what - I still enjoyed the hell out of the game.

There may be things you dislike about the direction they've taken - you can't please everyone all of the time, but the vitriole I've seen around the forums is unwarrented. It may not be tailor made for your tastes, but it doesn't mean it won't be good or that you can't enjoy it.

No it makes sense to attack earth because it is a homeworld and they want to reaperize the human race.  Besides it is not just earth getting attacked, the turians are getting their asses kicked as well.
