I can't remember.
Is there any way to go back and see if my character saved Kirrahe?

Talk to Mordin in ME2. If he doesn't say Kirrahe died on Virmire he's flagged as alive.

you can copy your save (just in case any usage of gibbed may corrupt the files, it probably won't, but better safe then sorry) and look at the copy with gibbed, see if Kirrahe is flagged as alive.
if you play on x-box - you just need a usb memory stick for that

But I'm sure you could find a save-editor program or someone on the internet to check....

Not in that playthrough, you would need to flag him as alive and then start a new playthrough with that ME2 character

Off topic, but does anyone know what saving Kirrahe does, besides Mordin's dialogue?
He's dead in both of my canon Shep's, and I don't have ME1 anymore, so I can't really change it.

actualy? yes you can with either updated version of gibbed, or this website.
that said, the saves might not import correctly and you have to remember to also check the prerequisites for Kirrahe to survive.. just in case (not sure if they transfer or not, but they do have separate flags).
