this..unless you're padding your time extremely..hell my first play I went around A LOT..back and forth...there were times I even got up, without pausing game, and made breakfast/lunch/dinner/went to store...quite often..and still beat it my first time with just over 70hours...110 hours w/o touching 3 main plot areas? BS or you like to just stand around and leave the PC on forever....BS

I probably be voted the slowest player in the history of RPG's. First I take a lot of time building characters of every combo of race and class and then play each one for two or three hours before making my mind up on what type of PC I am going to use throughout the game.
I always buy the strategy guide making sure I don't miss any side quests... I will play for an hour of so and then go out to my backyard (Southern California) and read the guide as respects the particular quest I am on, have a cup of coffee, play with Lizzie my cat and annoy my wife by generally being a know it all.
To me... no better way to spend a weekend!

I'm close to done with my first play-thru. Just entered the doors of Denerim's keep last night. I expect to finish tonight.

First for me too, you guys are making me feel better about taking my time. Actually got to the night before the final battle last night and turned the game off so that I wouldn't be rushing through it so that I could get enough sleep for work. Of course then I obsessed about it all day today....

I've gotten pretty far on my first playthrough, but I keep starting over. I've been playing a mage. Mages, more than most other characters, require a lot of planning, and without a decent spell guide, it's tough. I've found a few good guides, but there isn't anything with specific values that I've seen. I'll usually play long enough to reach a few tier 4 spells, but once I get them I realize they weren't what I was hoping for and so I start over. I've made somewhere around 5 or 6 characters thus far, only 2 of them getting past level 10 before I re-roll them due to a severe spike in difficulty. (I went through the Circle of Magi quest and made the mistake of bringing Wynne, Morrigan, Leliana, and myself. It was like running a gauntlet full of Holy Smite! It made me weep....tears) I've still got a few more options left, so I'm bound to find something I like that works.

I must know, did you fall asleep playing a couple times? I can easily see 60+ finishing it, but 110+ without main quests? You must really not want Lothering to burn. Oh, and enabling subtitles all the time speeds things up, a lot of the voice acting is fantastic, but dear lord, Zevhran, sometimes I think about killing him just to keep Antonio Banderas out of my party

Still on my first play-through. Made 3 different characters, settled on a human warrior. I only play about 2 hours, every other day. Work, Harley, booze and women keep me from playing much more
Ok...really it's just the work, booze and Harley, but still...

The one thing this post gave me is comfort in the knowledge that I'm not the only one with 3+ characters waiting to go through the Landsmeet. I did go through it once on my Dalish archer, but thats just because I loved playing my racist elf, damn humans...

Beat my 1st playthrough in about 30 hours. Did a lot of quests, though not all. I've started like 6, but never finished them (I can be VERY indeciesive) but I plan for my Dalish Rogue Archer to be my 2nd complete playthrough.

Still on first play through. Have even taken this game to an earlier save and restarted from that point didn't like how it was going. Just have the Dwarves and Denerrim left. I may have missed some early side quests, but I was still learning to play the game then.
I play some during the week, but Saturday night after the kids go to bed is my stay up till after midnight run.

First playthrough here, too. Just hit 60 hours, currently having my share of fun in the Deep Roads. And still no damage-dealing mage in the party

I tried to grab all the side quests on my first run through, although I missed a couple. I got the 75% side quest badge--"Easily Distracted"--as I finished up in the Alienage. I think it took me about 85 hours.

I am "worse" with over 100 hours of play and I only completed Lothering, Redcliffe and 4 Chantry side quests.
Yes I have fallen asleep ... intentionally.
Often I am too lazy to close DAO before going to bed, and I am playing in pause mode while I sleep ... either that or my tongue got stuck to an outdoor lighting fixture and I could not reach the keyboard.

1st playthrough for me. Finished up everything except the Urn quest and I'm headed over there. Of course that's gonna have to be sandwiched between life/school/kids.

I've done: No playthroughs, 5ish attempts but I'm getting closer on my zerker/champ warrior cause I just like his supreme beefy-ness, I like to jump around like that I guess

I'm still on the first playthrough, with the rest begun -- 1st playthrough (Female Human Noble Rogue) is just about to reach the Landsmeet. (That one I'm playing alongside my wife; we sit together and I man the controls and she makes the conversational decisions.)
2nd Playthrough (Male Dwarven Noble Warrior) is all me, and just left Lothering.
I've already played through all the Origins once, but have gotten no farther with any other characters.

I'm on my third playthrough, my cousin just brought the game, and it took him just 4 hours to do human noble origin :S so i'm guessing his going to be on his first playthrough for a very long time

I'm still on my first playthrough, too. I chose my talents, party, etc. unwisely so it's been slow going, but after 50+ hours of playing I'm loathe to start over. I've just finished the Landsmeet, though, so I'll soon enough get to start over.
