First play here as well. Finished the mage tower and is some 24 hours or so in. Mainly I play an hour here and an hour there due to having a way too busy life...
Anyone Still on FIRST Playthrough?

Am I the only one out there? LOL I keep reading posts.."well my first 4 playthroughs I did this..now on #5 I want to do this..." good grief!! I miss the days where I only had time to play video games../sigh
I love Bioware games because they make me think about just every action I take. A side effect, for me at least, is that it tends to wear me out and I have to take a break for a day and then come back. Maybe that's why they take so long for me to finish /shrug

First play here too, though I restarted once to play in Nightmare and I enjoy pretty much every moment so I'm in no hurry.

I'm a serial restarter, so technically I'm still on my first playthrough. I've set aside my first character, who had completed all the main quest areas (including the Urn) except Orzammar, where I got bogged down, started a new one with a different origin and completed 3 of the main quest areas and am currently on the Urn, started a third character just to see a different origin (city elf), and am now contemplating trashing my first character (a mage which I've bollixed up terribly) and restarting that playthrough.
So I think it's gonna take me a little bit longer to finish my first playthrough!
I'm a serial replayer, as well, but let's not even go there!

At 88 hours and have not gone to Landsmeet yet (will be going as soon as I finish up a couple of side quests). Also have job/kids/husband so playtime is limited. I do talk to everyone and complete all quests appropriate for my character. Level 20 Dalish rogue (ranger/duelist) at this point in time.

I finished my first play through yesterday. I was close at giving up a few times because of the insane battles. The last boss was surprisingly easy though.
So my review of the game is great story and cut scenes, good performance but tiresome immersion breaking battles.
Not enough information on what all the things do in the game. I found I was carrying around tons of stuff that I didn't find any use for. I didn't know how long the effects from salves would last or if they made any difference.
It also seems that this game differs from other Bioware games in that you need to focus on power builds and know before hand what spells are best to chose or the battles will be frustratingly difficult. In other games I could play more weak characters, put talents and spells that I found suitable for the characters personalities rather than what future battles would require.
Also I didn't manage to unlock any extra abilities from the points you get at level 7 and I think it was at level 13, despitie reading a bunch of tomes and stuff.
