I think if ME3 went back to the ME1 exploration format, but made the Mako drive better, itd be the best option. I did like the ME1 planets but they were so tedious to go through and the Mako's terrain issues just didnt help any.

Playing on a console I don't see the problem with maneuvering the Mako itself. The driving controls were fine especially on level ground.

Um, have you played driving games? The driving controls were horrible, and driving controls aren't about what kind of environment you're on, they should be consistent no matter what, e.g Halo driving, simple and functional. The Mako was so slow and didn't have enough traction to keep itself from falling off steep climbs. I played on Xbox 360 as well, and dear God the Mako sections made me want to punch a baby. They were too slow and clumsy to be fun.

No they weren't. The driving controls was never the main problem when it came to exploration. The problem was the seemingly dead and empty planets. The Mako drove well it was just that you usually would have to drive up freaking large rocky hills or even small mountain (bit of a exageration) hell the vehicles on Halo would never even be able to match the Mako's feats.

Because me finding the Mako easy to drive implies that I've never played a driving game. /sarcasm

No, you stating the controls are good, leads me to question whether you've played driving games, that obviously have good driving controls, before.

Except that some of them actually do. Also, yes, the planets were dead and had an overly large amount of mountains. So why did the dev team not consider this when designing the Mako?

Considering "good" driving controls is subjective I don't understand the need to question whether I've played driving games with "good" controls.

So what? Make the Mako able to climb mountains like its driving down a regular road? Simple fact is that the Mako can't fly and if you attempt to drive up a rocky slope its going to be difficult.  Changing the actual planet design to fit the Mako would be better. Hell even then the Mako wasn't that difficult to use when you are able to recognize an area where you can easily get traction while driving up a slope.

Driving games in general have different driving mechanics that makes it good for that type of game. Someone who prefer Halo vehicle mechanics may not like Forza games.

No, it wasn't difficult, it was just boring, and the driving was already boring to begin with.
Yes, changing the planet layouts would be a good option. But that would lead to everything becoming flat and veen more bland. Obviously, Bioware tried to fix this with the Firewalker pack, which I think they did. So maybe it's not the controls of the Mako, but the Mako itself. Honestly, to me, a monster truck would've been better suited to those environments.

In ME2 its just random planet dropping, shoting the **** out of everything and t hen leaving again.

Except when it's not.

There was the rare mission that was refreshing for not being a shooter fest, but those same missions also suffered the same problem (imo) that the others suffered. Short, no dialogue, and little context to the main story. (Although to be fair, there wasn't much of a main story to go on.)

Not everything need to be tied to many story and the space ship crashsite that been named was a DLC. Not in game from start.

That seems to be the main problem. The driving itself isn't boring its driving through large empty planets with plenty of annoying terrain.

You sound like somebody who doesn't know what the hell they're talking about. Do some research on the actual features, they are not changing anything to the ME formula. All these modes do is essentially "lock-out" content for the people that don't want to play an RPG or are going for a more action-oriented experience or are simply in it for the story. There are no changes whatsoever to the actual script of the game itself, hence your concern is pointless. Think and research a bit whenever you want to give your opinion on ANY matter, otherwise you come off as somebody who doesn't know anything on the subject and instantly complains without even asking for more details before he can provide feedback on the idea actually worth listening too.

Don't mean to sound like an jerk but you really should think before you type.

Have a good one=].

Edit: I re-iterate what I said and instead of using the words "lock-out", I'll go with "automatically adjusts to what you pick" and add this link to clarify my statement.

Awesome! Fake the cure and still get Krogan support. Good way to avoid having aggressive, quick-breeding beserkers from conquering a rebuilding galaxy!

I know right? This is seriously the best news I've heard so far. I don't have to worry about the Krogan anymore. I love Salarians, and their awesome ideas.

Pleases me alot to see this is somewhat not like that horrible horrible leak, gives me some hope for ME3. As to Cerberus, can't say I'm surprised.

As to driving >> I don't want the Mako. I want a Tank >>

How can you fake a cure? Pretty sure they'll figure out nothing happened when all the kiddies continue to be stillborn.

You can't in the long-term.  What you can do however is make a show of dispersing something and later claim it must've been defective or whatever.  In the short-term, no one will know better unless you tell them because the cure won't act instantaneously.

I'm serious. I don't wanna have to cure the Krogan to kill the Reapers. That would suck ass.

Ideally, I'd like to have the option to tweak the Genophage so it's not quite so brutal. Adjust the fertility rate up a bit, but not an all out cure that will undoubtedly result in a baby boom of unrivaled proportions. I doubt that will be an option though... it's too much "have your cake and eat it too" I suppose.

Hmm, not sure if lying to them is a good thing though. It might make them want to go to war for the betrayal.

I didn't say it was good or that there wouldn't be consequences.  I simply explained how it could be gotten away with in the short-term.
