What exactly is there a need for a genophage if the created a pure-breed female krogan for mating?
Wait...what?

My guess it, it will force you to team up with Liara and one of your squaddies and the one who is left behind will save you guys. The PLC wrote...
The Mars level sounds pretty awesome. But what if Vega isn't in your party at the end? Will he still save Shep and Kaidan?

Seems to me that the turian councilor wrote the article.

Reaper shame will ensure when they realise that the hand-me-down technology they lent the Geth actually made more effective and damaging husks
Apparently neither the Collectors nor the Reapers know how to make husk emit a shield-destroying wave when in combat.. more fool them

There's this Prothean Bookcase and pulling one of the books reveals a super weapon
No one thought to try before Shepard

I meant why do the Krogan still need a cure for the Genophage when Wrex and the Crew finds the pure, fertile Krogan that could save their population?

Uh, think about that for a minute. There are billions of krogan. And one of her.
I'm sure there is a fanfic out there with that exact scenario.

But no one thought the galaxy as they know it would end either.

You would need at least 25 of her to effectively repopulate, along with 25 male krogans. Otherwise there is not enough genetic diversity to grow.

I always wondered why they removed that. It made the husks much more challenging and interesting. In the moderate difficulties of ME2 they were just annoying.TobyHasEyes wrote...

Like the sound of the genophage choice. my multiple Sheps will have fun with that
I can tell I won't. In every game I play with choice-making, there's usually one choice where I honestly can't bring myself to change the choice I made the first time. e.g Curing the werewolves in Origins, siding with the templars in the Circle, saving the council or not siding with the Scoia'tael in Thw Witcher etc.
I can't see any of my Shepards choosing to screw with Wrex and the krogan.

Awesome! Fake the cure and still get Krogan support. Good way to avoid having aggressive, quick-breeding beserkers from conquering a rebuilding galaxy!
Don't do it if Wrex is alive though lol
Doesn't matter if Wrex is alive or dead, the Krogan have shown that, culturally speaking, they cannot control their birth-rate or live in peace with others.

Ideally, I'd like to have the option to tweak the Genophage so it's not quite so brutal. Adjust the fertility rate up a bit, but not an all out cure that will undoubtedly result in a baby boom of unrivaled proportions. I doubt that will be an option though... it's too much "have your cake and eat it too" I suppose.Eclipse_9990 wrote...

I know right? This is seriously the best news I've heard so far. I don't have to worry about the Krogan anymore. I love Salarians, and their awesome ideas.
That is the thing though, Mordin makes it clear the Genophage still allows a viable birth-rate. It's the Krogan who are killing themselves, not the virus.
are you serious or just kidding? lol
I'm serious. I don't wanna have to cure the Krogan to kill the Reapers. That would suck ass.

Because they're not posting the GI article vertabim, which is against copyright or whatever and against TOS on a lot of forum if it's an exclusive article from a magazine.LilyasAvalon wrote...

maybe a tad bit, but they have included in the story, since ME1, there is a weapon that can do that do a reaper, in ME2 there was the Kasumi DLC, and the Reaper IFF mission in ME2. it's only natural the that tech and weaponry get better to take down the big baddy. it doesn't sound like it's going to be a gun that destroys all reapers, but rather a reaper at a time in a single shot. and even then, who knows really until we play it. don't think it will have the effect to the extent you mean....atleast...i really really hope...

My guess is that the Protheans intended for humanity -- and maybe some other species (like those who killed themselves off as stated in various planet entries) -- to actually discover their ruins, their tech, and knowledge of the Reapers in order to properly prepare themselves for the invasion and possibly fight them off if it came down to it.shenlonzero wrote...
