That and you might have noticed that you could never wholeheartedly support Cerberus in ME2. There was always conflict, even with pure Renegade Sheps.

Hm. My main Shep is all about maintaining galactic stability whatever the cost. He loves his buddy Wrex but curing the genophage and unleashing a race of hard to kill, bloodthirsty super soldiers that procreate like jack rabbits doesn't strike me as something Shep would do.

Hard choices ahead. I can't wait.

Shepard is looking for a way to destroy the Reapers. TIM is looking for a way to control them and gain their intense powers to rule the galaxy.

It's pretty easy to see why Cerberus wants to stop Shepard's efforts in completing that super weapon if it clashes with their goals.

But if I'm RenShep and I agreed with TIM's plans on keeping the Collector's Base and human dominance, why won't TIM at the very least offer Shep to aid him? After all, RenShep has already proved that he's willing to take drastic steps for human dominance and if TIM offers Shepard an  ALTERNATIVE that will not only stop the Reapers but also establish total human dominance, why would he refuse? Surely it won't hurt for TIM to at least ask RenShep to join him.

Think about it. Is TIM really going to dump RenShep after spending trillions of credits on him and especially after seeing how reliable Shepard can be in keeping the Collector's Base?

Edit: Sorry I shouldn't derail didymos' thread. Those are my parting thoughts. ^_^

You can always try to sabotage the cure and lie to Wrex

After that part, we get introduced to the shield-carrying Guardians.  If you manage to shoot and kill one through the little vision-slit in the shield, you unlock the "Mail Slot" achievement/trophy.

I can't believe they went with Mail Slot when they could have gone with "Thanks fer standin' still, wanka" instead.

Too obvious.

I doubt we'll have much galactic stability after beating the Reapers. The Krogan could learn to not be that aggressive with Wrex as the leader.
If not, I guess the salarian will develop something in the case of another rebellion. Knowing them, and the fact that they don't even want to cure them now, they would probably create something right after the war.

Is that a possible choice?

I'll derail my own a thread a bit longer:  you don't agree to keep the base because it advances human dominance. It's done entirely because of the Reaper threat. As I said, even the purest of RenSheps never wholeheartedly supports Cerberus, and that's not an exception.  You always call TIM out on those ambitions at the end, and remind him to keep his mind on the real goal: defeating the Reapers.

Because controlling the Collector base and controlling the ancient machine race that has slaughtered civilizations for millions of years are two simillar, but different things.

The Collector base might give someone a technical advantage, but the Reapers could give them ships, weapons and technology to do whatever they want.

And really. You're supporting potential mass genocides that way.

I wonder if that would be an option. At that point though, Shep's main concern is the Reapers. I could roleplay it like he'd administer the cure and deal with the Reapers now and worry about a Krogan population explosion later.

I just hope the writers take more reasoning into account. In ME 1 I cringed at Shep kinda smiling when he killed the rachni. He did it to protect the galaxy! I hope a wider range of emotion is given in this game, or more input as to why we are making certian decisions.

Still, this preview is awesome.

According to the article, yes.  The salarians ask you to fake the dispersion of the cure, and you can choose to go along with it.

In the script, it was called "Peek-a-boo!"

And try to survive when Wrex will find out? I imagine the articles "Commander Shepard, hero who destroyed Reapers and stopped the invasion, got eaten by krogan battlemaster".

If you want to kill krogans, you'll get more than one chance to do that.

I meant, is it possible to fake it without Wrex knowing?

It's obvious he'll know about it sooner or later seeing no Krogan has been cured.

Actually, wasn't it this part of the script where a pretty important plotpoint with a character referred to as ''PARTNER'' occur?

That was in the first, oldest leaked draft. That one was indeed outdated in many parts. This partner character doesn't exist anymore

Are you talking about one of the new squadmates?

Just for curiosity, who he was?

If it was about Cerberus, I think it was impossible to think that Bioware will change their role.
It it's about something else, what didn't you like in the other quests?
