All that said, to just ditch DA2 at only 2 DLC's would to me seem like admitting the game bombed and the silent treatment only proves it. If they don't announce anything more about DA2 DLC by the time ME3 comes out or by the end of March, then they might truly be done with it. :?

Somebody asked Mr Laidlaw on Twitter about and he said he hoped to get some info out soon.

I suggest being patient.

To be clear, from what I remember somebody told Mike that they wanted to hear something about Dragon Age.

Mike apologized for the silence and hoped they would have stuff to talk about soon (soon-ish, more likely).

This could be DLC, the expansion, new tie-ins, or more DA3 rumblings. There was no indication what he was specifically referring to, so it may have nothing to do with DA2.

A shame, really. I really enjoyed both Legacy and MotA and was hoping for more.

If they weren't profitable in terms of sales numbers, there's not exactly an incentive to keep producing them.

Unfortunately.

Not that I know anything about their sales figures, but... I'm struggling to think of other reasons why we aren't seeing more DLC.

'Cause, frankly, I'd rather delay DA3 for a month or three and have some proper justice done to the end of Hawke's story.

A month or three? How about a year or three... or more? ;)

Fernando Melo said Legacy sold very well. I don't see why MOTA wouldn't have had roughly the same sales. 'tis a shame!

I figure we'll get some DLC around April, with SWTOR launching 2 months back(plus all the other major November releases) they probably didn't want to throw out any DLC in December/January. Now with Mass Effect 3 on the horizon they'll probably wait for that to be out for a bit and before they announce major DLC for that game.

Throwing out DLC in April when the only big game is Witcher 2 in which only a third of your target audience will be picking up, is good. I say third because PC gamers already own it and PS3 gamers aren't getting the game.

Well I play 360 and I won't be picking it up cause I tried it on PC and thought it was a complete snoozefest...

I'm optimistic... but almost no games, ever, put out DLC a year after they've been released. Ever. Some of the (already tiny, compared to DAO) playerbase will have sold the game, or lost it, or destroyed it, or forgotten about it. Some will put it in piles and never play it again.

It's obvious how inactive these forums are, a year after a major release is hardly the ideal time to get people reinterested in the franchise - and with DA2's market, the number of potential customers is already reduced compared to their other games.

ME2's 'Arrival' aside - and that was an obvious bridging DLC.

Not to mention that it's been months since we've heard anything at all.

I'd really love DLC in April, but... I'm doubtful.

All this speculation about some kind of Dragon Age news after ME3 is just another reason I wish it was bloody March already. As hopeful as I am, I still feel like there will be nothing until E3 but I suppose there are a few other small shows prior to E3 where something could be said.

Mass Effect 3 will have an insert teaser announcing a stand alone expansion pack bridging DA2/DA3. New exe means they can present some of the changes they've been working on to improve the DA2 model.

Here's my proof:

Luckily there are enough open-minded gamer who appreciate TW2 for what it is, a pure and good RPG!

If it's anywhere near as good as the first game, I can't wait to get the 360 version!!  My laptop barely managed to play the first game, so much so that I gave up during the 4th chapter.  I would have bought the PC version of 2 if I had something that could play it, and I don't like PC games so that says a lot.

If being open-minded means I have to play games that I find so dull I'm on the verge of falling asleep then I'd rather be close-minded thanks...

i'd rather have Mike Laidlaw say, "We are indeed working on more DLC for DA2. Stay tuned..." <_<

I wish casey hudson was the leader to Dragon Age then Mike Laidlaw cause he's more reasurring and delivers the goods then Mike could ever produce... :(

Are you kidding me?
No, just no, if the ME3 demo is any indication the DA2 team have done comparatively much better then the ME one on a much smaller budget and in far less time.
But yeah just to chime in here I too was hoping for at least another DLC (preferably one with Sebastian and Starkhaven).
