i would love to see a DA2 DLC or maybe a news that tell us that Dragon Age 3 will be done soon.

So would I! I've played through DA2 four times. Playing Skyrim now and it's the first Elder Scrolls I'm not enjoying. DA2
really spoiled me.

Bleah! Come on devs, please release a DA3 soon!

But yeah just to chime in here I too was hoping for at least another DLC (preferably one with Sebastian and Starkhaven).

If it involves invading Starkhaven and killing Sebastian I'd be all for that, as long as Anders gets to insert/swing the sword

Agreed. Nothing wrong with Casey but I kinda like Mike. Considering what he got from the BSN and the internet for DA2 he's pretty positive and still hangs around the BSN from time to time. I mean considering the time he was given for DA2 he did a hell of a job.

I wouldn't say that Mike Laidlaw did a great job, cause I'm pretty sure I recall reading elsewhere that there was speculation that the lady dwarves got the short end of the stick due to the team's decision to redraw/revisualize the non-human races for DA2. Of course, that should in no way be interpreted that Bioware rushed to put DA2 out before it was ready... <_<

Just pointing out that any hypothetical rushing of a game might be out of the control of even the lead designer or executive producer.

If they get an order from the publisher to have the game done in [x] months, there possibly isn't a lot of negotiation - they do what they can in the time they have.

ME2 was suppose to come out last year but then DA2 flopped and they learned they couldn't get away with it.

Honestly, I think ME3 may have been pushed back solely to make room for TOR's winter release.

Probably the team didn't even ask for the time; they just got told they were moved to 2012.

We can spin it as them taking the time they need to finish the game, but even if they just all sat on their hands for the extra three or four months, the game wasn't coming out before this first quarter.

That's my suspicion, at any rate.

At least on the PC it looks like they are pusing it out before it's anywhere near ready (read relatively optimized).
No holstering, way too narrow FOV, having one button do absolutely everything, all in all it doesn't seem like a particularly well optimized port to me.

I hope that DA2 is done, I bought all the dlc, and played through them twice. DA2 was a sorry game, again there are a thousand other threads on why we think so, maybe Bioware will move on to DA3 and make a better game.

Dragon Age 2 isn't done, there is still at least one DLC that is coming, in which Hawke will get a chance to meet Morrigan. The main reason we are not hearing anything about it is because this few months is all about ME3. Early May will be the time when new DLC info is coming out.

like Jonathan H said, Mike Laidlaw admitted on the BW forums that most of the problems with DA2 were a result of a rushed development cycle which was determined by EA. Yes, there were clearly certain design decisions that fans simply didn't take kindly to, but there are many issues that could have been fixed if the game had been given a longer development cycle. <_<

The reason for the dubious quality of DA2 was not due to a lack of focus; it was the result of EA wanting a quick turnaround for a sequel to a game that was in development for over four years and had over 100 hours of content. When you spend less than two years developing a sequel to a game the size of DA:O, you're just asking for trouble. :?

They are/were planning Flemeth/Morrigan DLC?! That would be such a kick to the teeth if they really stopped the DLC after planning this.

The game play in DA:2 was pretty enjoyable, in my opinion. I think character developement was better in DA:2, but the fact that they kind of mashed the Qunari plot and the Mage vs. Templar plot into one game kind of ruined the main story.

As for DLC, I liked Legacy better than MOTA but they were both much better than any DLC DAO offered. Legacy was amazing in every way, the thing I didn't like much about MOTA is that Bioware did a terrible job creating Talli's character.

I still would like to see an Awakening sized expansion for DA:2. I was thinking maybe one or two more acts where the Champion of Kirkwall meets Cassandra, but it doesn't like that's happening any time soon.

Tallis wasn't made by bioware they included her because she has alot of potencial and a some background but it was created by DA fan.

Tallis is the main character of Dragon Age: Redemption, a live-action mini-web series. "Tallis" is not her name, but her rank. It means "to solve" in Qunari.

I think Mota was just excelent, legacy was superb and if because all the whinners bioware stop making dlc.. oh well I guess is a good thing, they might actually use the money on making DA3 even better than DAO. I am all for it ( but keep hawke I like her!) hehe ;P

No she wasn't.

Bioware created Tallis along with a slew of other potential candidates and approached Felicia Day with the ideas, asking her which one she would like to do. She said she'd like to do the Qunari one: Tallis.

Bioware created Tallis along with other characters. Felicia Day simply picked which one she liked the most.

I don't see where from the neogaf summary that joystiq draws that conclusion, and I don't recall them saying such a thing in the various media events neogaf was summarizing either.

They said Morrigan and Flemeth are integral to the series, sure, but I don't recall any explicit "they will be in DA2 DLC."

Here I am not going to fight over this: http://grfiles.game-...g/DA_FoT_01.pdf

"The deadly and witty elf assassin called Tallis is an exciting new addition to the world of Dragon Age, debuting simultaneously in the original web series, Dragon Age: Redemption, written by and starring Felicia Day, and the Dragon Age II downloadable content, Mark of the Assassin. Felicia Day created the character of Tallis and portrays her inboth projects. Now, with this short DLC for the DragonAge tabletop roleplaying game , GMs can import this
intriguing character into their own campaigns."

"Felicia Day created Tallis, wrote the script for Dragon Age: Redemption, and portrayed Tallis both in the web
series and DLC featuring the character. Who better to give us some tips on understanding Tallis and playing
the part? Whether you’re setting out to create your own character in the Dragon Age world or planning to
include Tallis herself in your campaign, Day’s experienceis a great guide."

"Felicia Day: My inspiration for Tallis came mostly from the urban fantasy and high fantasy books I read.
Authors like Jim Butcher and Ilona Andrews and Brent Weeks, Brandon Sanderson, Rachel Caine, et al,
inspired me with interesting and relatable female characters.
I read a lot. :)"

I wish you a good evening.

Granted. When the idea was first floated, we sent Felicia several basic concepts of characters we thought could work, and which would add something to the world-- a female, elven Ben-Hassrath was one of them. She liked that and developed Tallis from that point.

Tallis was originally thought up by Bioware. Felicia Day simply developed the character after she picked it from a slew of others.
