Well that's just rude... from the one who equates any vague announcement with "more DA2 DLC," no less.Melca36 wrote...

Weather this could be DLC, the expansion, new tie-ins, or more DA3 rumblings. There was no indication what Chris Priestly was specifically referring to, so it may have nothing to do with DA2 DLC.
Yeah. Not being a downer but a DA panel doesn't automatically mean more DLC.
No, but the fact that Bioware even bothered to release a new patch for DA 2 does make me a bit more hopeful that we might see at least one more story DLC.
You may have a point. Here's hoping!

Traditionally these things are held back until the expansion releases, since there's usually some engine changes and campaign touch-ups they need to do for the new content.
Belching out a comprehensive patch on some random meaningless day doesn't exactly inspire confidence that they have even more in the pipeline for the next 3-6 months.

Actually, to my mind, it makes it less likely the expansion will be released.

I don't think expansions are going to be that common anymore with the acceptance of DLC by gamers. Origins was the last game I played with an expansion and its hard to remember the game before that. So there could be more hope there will be future DLC, for if I remember correctly there was talk of something in the new year, but I could be remembering wrong.

Because of this:
"The Dragon Age II DLC Bundle Pack contains all the action and adventure of all the Dragon Age II DLC in one convenient pack. This bundle includes: The Exiled Prince, Legacy, Mark of the Assassin, and both sets of Item Packs. With over 10 hours of bonus content, dozens of new items, and 2 new party members, the Dragon Age II DLC Bundle Pack has everything you need for your rise to power."

And the prize is a joke. You save no money if buy this complete DLC pack.

Heres a suggestion. Lets wait until we actually here from the convention or a developer post on whether or not there will be MORE dlc. I am sure someone will ask at the convention.

All those so-called fans did all that of that crying over DA2. It was too short ,it was't long enough .bah bah bah bah!!! Now they are taking their sweet time make both the DA2 DLCs and DA3. This is why I hate people.

In practical terms, DLC needs to be released fairly frequently because it relies on a good number of people still playing the game. If you look at how active these forums are, I don't think there's a market for a DLC.
Anything they're going to announce now pretty much has to be something big enough that it'll bring people whose copies have been collecting dust for months now back into Dragon Age.
(I have a small hope that there might be some sort of DA2.5 stand alone expansion, but it's not a realistic one)
But yes, it's good if they're not rushing DA3. Though I'd expect an announcement fairly soon, simply because I can't see them spending all that long with no announced projects.

The holes between the time skips. More character development for Hawke and the siblings, more lines for the companions, more adventures, the chance to have an actual impact with all the decisions you made in DAII being finally shown in the expansion, the fact you could actually go to Starkhaven and deal with Sebastian once and for all, you could go in the Fade and meet your dead parents and maybe your sibling for some closure for Hawke, you could have a wedding with your love interest, you could have children, you could finish the storyline by showing people how all the characters left Kirkwall and where Hawke left after all of the mess has been over, you could also track down some characters from Dragon Age Origins, like Flemeth. There are TONS of possibilities. And those were just a few bunch that game over my mind. Dragon Age II has a LOT of potential, monstrous potential. The Dragon Age team just need to explore them more. If David Gaider reads this, I hope he takes some suggestions...
For the next game though, I wish they'd just avoid time skips.
