Dont know about the OP, but I've used SS only several times and turned it off before I was out of mana. Besides, you can just use mana potions (and with proper regen gear you'll hardly even need that). There are things that are OPed much more than SS.

You only found the game easy because you spec'd an AW mage and exploited pulling. Now for anyone who doesn't use CoC like its going out of fashion or just abuse the mage crowd control abilities this game is incredibly hard! Without pausing, this game is impossible.

Just want to take a second to address this point.

Why do so many people feel that using certain spells and abilities is "exploiting"? This word gets thrown about a lot, but I feel its true meaning is lost on many people. Exploiting is essentially taking advantage of game mechanics not intended by the developers such as XP bug in Ostagar. Things like FF on a tank could also arguably be considered an exploit, although it's irrelevant in solo play, so it's pointless to talk about it. Pulling, I feel, is definitely not an exploit, as Bio could have easily made mobs leashed to each other (meaning you can't pull no matter what you do). They chose not to do that and I suspect wanted players to use tactics such as divide and conquer, positioning, line of sight etc.

Interpret the word how you wish. In the context of what im saying whether or not you take it in a derogatory sense is irrelevent. Simply put your using it regularly and thats how you win.

Regardless of whether the developers intended us to use it or not, some people may not wish to do this. Those that don't will find it cripplingly hard on the higher difficulties.

To add my own opinion, i think pulling was a slight oversight by the developers. I find it hard to believe that in an RPG they intended you to forgo immersion and expose the AI as incompetent.

How can you play on a lower difficulty setting and write a big post titled "game is too easy"? If you had played through and finishd it solo onthe hardest setting the game has to offer and still thought it was too easy, then your thread would have a point at least.

If the game was too easy, as you claim, you wouldn't have bothered posting this, since everyone would be doing it.

DAO has many strong elements, such as the amount of work invested in its writing/story, that make it a very good game.  However, after finishing it, I felt that certain aspects could have used a bit more polish.  Even on nightmare, the entire final battle was extremely disappointing.  It was one of the easiest portions of the game and required almost no micromanagement.  For that particular segment, it would be nice to see both more enemies and the current ones made harder (no more 1 shot "grunts").

Also, I have noticed that there are quite a few threads and/or complaints about DAO being either too easy or too hard.  I think that these just serve to highlight the fact that the difficulty settings need to be adjusted in some way via a patch.  One possible solution would be to add a new difficulty (ie Insane mode) that is substantially harder than nightmare.  Another equally as feasible solution would be to widen the gap of the different difficulty levels (make the easier ones even easier and the harder ones even harder).
