No it's not. Humanity is spared if we control the Reapers.

*spoilery spoilery spoiler*

There will always be a power struggle as well. Even within humanity. Because we're not one front, in case you haven't noticed.

Hey, keep spoilers from the leak out of this.

Yes, I've read the leak and I know your post contains spoilers. Keep it out of here.

Your point is....?

I never said anything about perfection in the aftermath, only that humanity would survive if we controlled the Reapers.

It doesn't matter to me what happens to the other races as long as we emerge intact.

Sure. It only makes you a raging hypocrite by doing what the Reapers were already planning to do.

Because you know what? Humanity isn't the center of the universe.

Spoilers from the Leak? The Leak doesn't spoil anything. It is out of date and not reflective of ME3 as a finished product. So don't worry about it, Lucos.

Why would they spare humanity? If anything humanity is a threat to them as every other race. And they are not stable, unless they are all indoctrinated. Btw, this sounds very much like Saren tbh.

You are telling me that Cerberus, which exists to advance the collective interests of humanity, will judge the human race a threat to the human race and end it?

:?

Cerberus does not exist to advance the collective interests of humanity. It exists to advance TIMs interests, whatever they are. And yes, humans can be threats to other humans. That's why we have wars. If I was an emperor and could indoctrinate people at will I'd do it to all my opposition too.

The other's are expendable.

Fair point. I figure that's how Cerberus views the other races as well but I believe having them around can yield some great inventions and discoveries that could benefit humanity and the galaxy as a whole. We wouldn't have that Thanix Cannon without those Turians and we all know how useful that thing can be.

No it doesn't. TIM knows what he's dealing with, Saren didn't.

Humanity doesn't need to be the center of the universe. Humanity need only grant itself priority. Every species does.

I don't recall ever saying that the fight against the Reapers was an ideological one. It isn't.

I'm not a "hypocrite" for doing what they want to do (not that I plan to and not that Cerberus plans to).

What Cerberus wants to do with the Reapers once they can control them is up in the air.

We wouldn't have the Normandy either.

Hell, if it weren't for other races, we wouldn't have the super weapon.

Well, we wouldn't have the Thanix Cannon without Sovereign; it's just the Turian's reverse engineered version, any other species could have made something similar if they had the same parts.

Right like um...

Medi-gel! Oh wait, that was a human invention.

EDI! ...another human invention.

The Normandy! Another human invention.

Carriers! Ah... also human.

The aliens have given us nothing we wouldn't have eventually produced ourselves. A slightly better gun? Slightly better armor? That's not much.

The other races are competitors and if we can safely neutralize them then we should. It will leave humanity with more room to grow and less to fear.

Keep telling that to yourself if that makes you feel better. I know for a fact however that's not true.

Go read Mass Effect Evolution comic and the Mass Effect novels.

Nope. I don't read books or comics of a game I play. If the information is not comming ingame, it is not comming to me at all. I hate that they do that and I will never support it in any way.

No, Saren didn't have a clue. And when he finally realized what he was dealing with, he was already indoctrinated.

TIM however knows exactly what he's dealing with and he's doing everything in his power not to become indoctrinated. And if he's as smart as he seems to be, he has a back-up plan for when he DOES get indoctrinated. I guess TIM is smart enough to have that.

Yeah. I'm sure Timmy will just make sunshine and flowers for everyone.

Never mind that you're letting one lone and very delusional man control one of the most powerful forces in the galaxy and somehow think that he will make humanity prosper. Even though he's doing some very sick things to get there.

I have to disagree; competition leads to faster growth; without competition there's no serious need to increase technology in fear of the enemy (until humanity becomes widely spread enough that multiple factions of humans exist).

I see. So if you don't like a certain aspect of a fictional setting or franchise then you just ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist. How convenient.

There's a lot of BS in those comics and some in the novels that I don't like, but I still must accept them as canon.

There's really no point in arguing with you then.

It seems you know alot more about TIM than I do. My Shep, however, doesn't.

There will be competition. Just because humans aren't competing with aliens doesn't mean they won't be competing with one another. Corporations and other private interests will still compete for the right to fuel a growing population and economy.

Tech firms will compete to reverse engineer Reaper technologies and adapt them for use by humans.

Why would him doing sick things mean he won't let humanity prosper? Prosperity is what he wants. No country or civilization became prosperous by keeping its hands clean.

Fine, but then don't say [stuff] you know nothing about.

As I said, I know for a fact that TIM is loyal to humanity and I know for a fact that the sole purpose why he even started Cerberus is because of his knowledge on the reapers.

I also know for a fact that Saren didn't have a clue what he was dealing with until he was already indoctrinated, while TIM does know what he's dealing with.

I also know for a fact that TIM knows more about indoctrination than anyone else. He researched it and he knows more about it than you do or Shepard does.

TIM is not a fool.
