Fair point. I figure that's how Cerberus views the other races as well but I believe having them around can yield some great inventions and discoveries that could benefit humanity and the galaxy as a whole.

Right like um...

Medi-gel! Oh wait, that was a human invention. Which is also illegal. And yet it works so magnificently that the Council is willing to overlook the fact that it's technically illegal. Still doesn't make it legal.

EDI! ...another human invention. Geth. They're technologically superior. And yet EDI is directly compatible with Reaper tech, even able to mine their databanks at will. The only thing the geth have is technology that is different from the other in-cycle species, nothing that surpasses it.The geth have had a lot more contact with the Reapers than EDI. Oh, and just because she can take on a puny IFF doesn't mean that she can take on a whole Reaper mind. She was overwhelmed by just the geth network. A Reaper mind consists of billions, if not trillions of conjoined organic minds.

The Normandy! Another human invention. Collector ship, Oculus and the Reapers. They can see the Normandy just fine. The first Normandy got destroyed because it fell into a pre-set trap, that however does not not undermine the validity of the innovations made to it; hence why there is a Normandy-class line of ships by the time it's 2085, and why TIM decided to give Shepard a more advanced model of the same ship instead of - let's say - just another dreadnought (ignoring the possible political ramifications for a moment). Also note how it took just said first Normandy to bring down Sovereign and Saren, and just another to take down several Oculi, the Collector Cruiser and take the Collector base.Nice try, but I was talking about the stealth function, not its fighting capability. By the way, Sovereign had his shields down when the SSV Normandy took the shot. Any ship could have done that. The SR2 Normandy can't even phase a Reaper destroyer with its armament. Not to mention that the SR2 had one of the best pilots around during the battle with the Collectors.

Carriers! Ah... also human. Oh, you can launch fighters. Big whoop. Say hi to a few dreadnoughts that can blow those ships away long before the fighters reach them. But carriers aren't bound to the Treaty of Farixen, hun, and tend to stay out of the action themselves. I'd like to see you use a dreathnaught to attack an enemy on the other side of a planet. The turians don't care about the treaty if the Council is dead and good luck getting enough of those fighters to matter within effective range from the other side of a planet.

The aliens have given us nothing we wouldn't have eventually produced ourselves. A slightly better gun? Slightly better armor? That's not much. And yet, humanity's most advanced ship gets shot up so badly without those inventions. And what was it the core did when it was overloading after the shields got hit like twice? Oh, right. Incinerated anyone in the engineering room. Great design there. Oh and by the way. Protheans. Humanity won't surpass them.  The way the stealth feature worked required skill/common sense on part of the ship's commander; saying overloading it is a reason the design sucks is like saying a gun sucks because you can't keep shooting without reloading, or that your cannon exploded because you put too much gunpowder into it. And we already surpassed the Protheans the moment we got Sovereign. If a core overloads and VENTS into the room, then yes, it is a design flaw and it sucks. You got a cannon from Sovereign and some attack programs. We got schematics for a super weapon from the Protheans. Not to mention that the Protheans are surpassing the Reapers by far on a organic level. Just because they fell for a trap and were destroyed doesn't automatically mean that the ones that sprung the trap are immediately superior on every level.

The other races are competitors and if we can safely neutralize them then we should. It will leave humanity with more room to grow and less to fear. By that logic, you should kill off humanity as well, because there will always be competition between factions. And factions will always form, because one guy can't represent and make decisions for a whole race. No matter how much you want Timmy to. Still, humanity itself would presevere in that scenario. Also, a benign form of indoctrination could take care of that problem altogether.
A "good" form of indoctrination? Yeah, take a good read about what indoctrination does first.

Don't you see Kaiser? Instead of actively participating in debate and providing sound counter arguments Backlash has chosen to insult the posters he disagrees with, misrepresent the happenings of the thread and provide nothing to the disussion.

Much more sensible.

Medi-gel! Oh wait, that was a human invention. Which is also illegal. And yet it works so magnificently that the Council is willing to overlook the fact that it's technically illegal. Still doesn't make it legal. Don't try to embarrass yourself further on this one, kid; it's de-facto legal. And even if it weren't, something being illegal doesn't necessarily make make it wrong or unethical.

EDI! ...another human invention. EDI is at least partically based on Reaper tech, so obviously she's gonna outclass the geth in certain aspects. Your latter argument is as valid as "Oh, she can't take on the entire Reaper armada just by herself, so she is useless.". Like everything, she has limits.

Not to mention that the SR2 had one of the best pilots around during the battle with the Collectors.  Because I would really talk about the innovations of the Normandy without referring to its stealth function, right? C'mon son. The Normandy's stealth functions were instrumental in the Battle of Citadel, as we would otherwise never have gotten to the Conduit. And a pilot is nothing without his vessel.

Carriers! Ah... The turians merely cover for the other two Council races, and even then both the tactical as well as the pre-2183 political advantages of carriers can't be denied. The latter half of your argument makes no sense at all.

Oh, right. Not to mention that the Protheans are surpassing the Reapers by far on a organic level. Just because they fell for a trap and were destroyed doesn't automatically mean that the ones that sprung the trap are immediately superior on every level.
Then read the freakin' manual, and don't do what it tells you not to do. I hope you won't ever be left to your own devices when it comes to using kitchen or garden equipment, or even medicine, as the results would probably be disastrous; "I'm sorry, mum, but this propane tank not being able to survive the oven for this long is obviously a design flaw." And the Protheans didn't surpass the Reapers, and us surviving the reap is what mad us surpass the former. Also, spoilers, dude, freaking spoilers.

The other races are competitors and if we can safely neutralize them then we should. It will leave humanity with more room to grow and less to fear. By that logic, you should kill off humanity as well, because there will always be competition between factions. Also, a benign form of indoctrination could take care of that problem altogether.
A "good" form of indoctrination? Yeah, take a good read about what indoctrination does first. Subtle manipulation to keep everyone under control? Yeah, I already got that much.

Ball's in your court, boyo.

No thanks. I'm done with you.

By the way, calling me "kid" and "son" just shows that you must push me down in some way via the experience through age (which is total horse****, by the way) to feel and show superiority, which only results in proving that you're not worth the effort.

Then again, that's the Cerberus Defense Force's style.

Just as much as you're deluding yourself into believing that indoctrination (the Reaper kind, that is. I don't know what kind of drug you're trying to use) can have positive effects on the human mind or that the Normandy is the best ship around simply because it kicked something that was already down.

Then again, it's all in favor of Timmy. Can't say anything bad about the stereotypical character that shows no interesting traits whatsoever and we're told that he is cool and a good guy just because.

I figured by now both sides would be tired of debating the same points over and over. Or at least learn to agree to disagree.

It could very well be used to train individuals in warfare, how to handle weapons and the like. Possibly to serve as soldiers.

I just find it funny that the same people are constantly saying that they don't like what BioWare's doing with ME3 and that they're not going to buy it, that they don't know how to write a good story or characters, bla bla bla, and yet they still show up.

And I find it funny how we've explained this many times before, this isn't only for postivity. People who are upset still have permission to post, no? We wouldn't be here if we hated the entire trilogy, we hate how the finale was/is handled.

I wasn't aware you lose your "fan" status if you don't agree with everything BioWare does. Who is to say some of those people complaining about story/writing don't enjoy the gameplay or vice versa.

Even then if they disagree or don't like something that doesn't mean they've lost interest. There are some things I don't like or agree with. I follow those subjects and defend my ideas. I never got the "you don't like so leave" argument personally.

Control isn't a positive thing in your book? And I never said the Normandy was the best ship because of a reason I did not even state, that's what you try to make of it, dear.

You keep using the same faulty logic over and over and over. Say, did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?

It's still pointless.

I didn't like how Saints Row The Third was handled at all when it came to the characters or how the FEAR games got turned into 90% mech warfare, but you don't see me b***hing about it.
