Have you killed off a charater(s) simply to not see them in the 3rd game?

I like every character, but I always kill a couple off during the SM for dramatic tension's sake.

I only killed Jack, but not on purpose. I have made my decisions and haven't had enough points during the argument with Miranda to calm down both.
She was an interesting character, but I can live without her.

There are only 2 dull characters I disliked and wouldn't even notice if they die: Jacob and Kaidan.

I always kill Kaidan (blandest character in the series).

I have some Shepards where everyone survived ME2. Garrus, Legion, Zaeed, Tali, Jacob and Mordin died in other playthroughs, so I will have some variety in ME3.

Tbh, there wasn't really any characters in the ME series that i hated enough to make me want to kill them in ME2 (well, playable characters anyway.)
On my Paragon playthrough, no one died. However on my Renegade playthrough, Jack, Legion, Thane, Miranda, Zaeed, Tali and Morinth died. I didn't 'want' them to die. It just happened :)

I haven't decided yet. It depends on if Garrus is a mandatory squadmate in Mass Effect 3.

You're all terrible people!

But horses are terrible people...

Therefore you are all horses. (logic!)

Can you actually kill everyone in one playthrough? How do you manage that?

No, always saved everyone. Shep´s a sweetheart.

I've intentionally killed off characters before, but not because I don't want to see them again. I want to see every character again, except Jacob and the VS - its not that I specifically don't want to see them again, I've just always rather apathetic towards Jacob, Ash and Kaiden.

I often kill off Thane and Samara. Thane because it adds an element of tragedy - he had only just reconciled with his son - but also gives Thane the chance to go out guns blazing instead of fading away in a hospital. Samara because she has spent hundreds of years having to search for her own daughter so she can kill her. Having done so, I think she deserves peace and her dying on the SM, protecting others, brings some rather nice closure to her story imo. I also sometimes try to kill of Jack or Zaeed - the two most independent crewmembers giving their lives for the good of the team.

In my 'canon' playthrough everyone survived, but I sometimes kill characters for variety in my other playthroughs.

Miranda is alive so not really. Though, I did only save her cuz the leak suggest she has some awesome missions.

I killed Ashley on purpose. Man did I hate her cameo in ME2.

As for squad members from ME2. I killed off

Samara and replaced her with Morinth, what can I say find her vastly more interesting then her mother.

Jack, Kasumi, Thane since they have no bloody business on a suicide mission like that. I don't hate them but I don't like them either.

Grunt, screw him really and Bioware trying to make a better Krogan version of Wrex.

Lawson. I really, really, really hate her and everything she stands for her as eye candy, and I'm a straight dude.

If I could, I would have killed BOTH Ashley and Kaidan. They're both equally annoying to me, and I was disappointed when I only got to kill one. So, I killed Ashley...

No. There are characters I don't like, but I still won't kill them.

I'd never kill any squadmates because I "hate" them (seriously tho, truly hating a video game character? how is that even possible?). And since my Sheps are gonna need all the help they can get, if I can save a squadmate - I will. Only deaths occur on Virmire, and it's a shame cause imo Kaidan and Ash are the best characters in the series.

Same here, sans the canon playthrough featuring everyone surviving. I just really can't stand that ending much, personally. Let my girlfriend get that trophy.

It does leave a sour taste in your mouth, but what I was more annoyed about was that it was so easy to get everyone alive. Even the damn loading screen gave hints on how to do it!

I killed off people and made certain choices only for the reason of wanting to see the different outcomes.

I guess I found it funny when Jacob died, he got the priiiiiiiiize.

I know, right? There are only a small handful of opportunities for me to orchestrate a squadmate's honorable demise without feeling like my Shepard is a complete moron for it, especially since I'll never do a run of the games without completing everything available so all my squadmates are loyal unless I make some silly error with the Miranda/Jack conflict or something.

So for starters, one squadmate who tends to kick the bucket for me more often than not is Jacob, not because I find him bad like some but because his volunteering for the ducts is like "...eh, okaaaay."

In my first playthrough, Thane died in the ducts, and giddy with excitement, I stupidly let Mordin lead the second team later on. She'd romanced the utterly boring Jacob before meeting Thane, unfortunately.

When I redid my personal canon playthrough, to include DLC, but more importantly to resculpt the face so that she did not have freaky-big, pointy cheekbones, I felt honour bound to send Thane back into the ducts, despite my Shep having having the more satisfying romance with him. It's the most poignant death scene, I think. Lets her rekindle the thing with Liara without complications (even though Liara did not acknowledge his death in LotSB). I kept Mordin alive, though. This is now my 'canon' save file
