Have you killed off a charater(s) simply to not see them in the 3rd game?

If I could, I would have killed BOTH Ashley and Kaidan. They're both equally annoying to me, and I was disappointed when I only got to kill one. So, I killed Ashley...

But it will still haunt me forever

Before reading the ME books, I didn't like Cerberus that much, but after reading the books, I don't want anything to do with them anymore. So that's why on my current playthough, Miranda and Jacob are going to die.
I could understand Miranda, since she's a Cerberus loyalist in ME2, but I don't undestand why would you kill Jacob because of Cerberus. He basically joined Cerberus because the Alliance doesn't protect much the people (especially the colonies). He criticizes almost every Cerberus projects, and during the dialogues with him it's clear that he doesn't like much Cerberus . And he's glad if Shepard gave the middle finger to TIM in the SM and destroyed the base.

You don't have to know too much about the military to know that wouldn't go over too well. Not only would she be AWOL but she'd also be working for an enemy of the Council and the Alliance.Gaseous Shepard wrote...
I understand Ash having trust issues with Cerberus, but she had no reason not to trust Shepard after all they had been through. She could have at least heard him out and maybe came along (like he offered) to make sure everything was on the up and cover Sheps back in the name of the Alliance.

Eh Miranda will give TIM the middle finger herself if she's there when Shep destroys the base.

I kill off Jacob in most of my files because in my first file he was like "I'll go through the vent" so I was like, "Sure, okay" then he died, and that just annoyed me. Last time I take a video game characters advice when it's not similar to what I was gonna do anyway. I hated Jacob anyway, it's just I wanted to get everyone out alive. But yeah, Jacob's not going to be in my Mass Effect 3 games.
Thats hilarious. Same thing happened too me on my first PT.
Then I looked up a guide and I was like "Ohh Ok. Jacob you moron.":P

Why kill a character off if you hate them? Just leave them on the ship, and stop whining about it.

The only reason I let everyone live is because I consider my first playthrough my 'canon' playthrough - it was the only playthrough where everything was a surprise so I was making decisiosn that felt right rather than meta-gaming. I did this for ME1 as well - my first playthrough became my main Shepard, and while I would go back to achieve the top levels and the hardest difficulties I always made the same choices for my main Shepard (apart from ensuring Wrex lived, changing my LI from Tali to Liara and ensuring I did as many side missions as possible).JeffZero wrote...

I've intentionally killed off characters before, but not because I don't want to see them again. I want to see every character again, except Jacob and the VS - its not that I specifically don't want to see them again, I've just always rather apathetic towards Jacob, Ash and Kaiden.
I often kill off Thane and Samara. Thane because it adds an element of tragedy - he had only just reconciled with his son - but also gives Thane the chance to go out guns blazing instead of fading away in a hospital. Samara because she has spent hundreds of years having to search for her own daughter so she can kill her. Having done so, I think she deserves peace and her dying on the SM, protecting others, brings some rather nice closure to her story imo. I also sometimes try to kill of Jack or Zaeed - the two most independent crewmembers giving their lives for the good of the team.
In my 'canon' playthrough everyone survived, but I sometimes kill characters for variety in my other playthroughs.
Same here, sans the canon playthrough featuring everyone surviving. I just really can't stand that ending much, personally. Let my girlfriend get that trophy.
I prefer ME2's story if some of them die, but because everyone lived the first time through that is what I consider to be my canon story. Whatever happens the first time through ME3 is how the story ends as far as I'm concerned - replays are more like 'what if' scenarios.

Daniel Shepard - Tali, rocket to the face during SM
Jack Shepard - Garrus bullet to the gut during SM
Kara Shepard - Thane during SM. (she's my newest one, and I'm thinking of having him pulled away by a cloud of collector bees, so I'll have Miranda do the biotic specialist, and have him and tali with me so no matter which one gets taken away, I'll be rid of either him or someone I don't want to see any way)
John Shepard Tali during SM, simply because he's romancing Ashley again in ME3 and I just want her out of the way for that

When did she rape Shep?
Shep *did* give her permission to muck around his/her head you realize. It's not rape if you give consent no matter how much you don't enjoy it.

Thankfully I noticed a trait in Jacob early on in the game. His advice was usually bad. He's a good soldier, but a terrible leader.

I didn't give consent D: the game didn't give me a choice, it was rape I tell you, rape! And what did it ever do? Liara never did anything when she did it, she just got faint and tired <_< a lot of good that was to Shep. And then she started creeping on Shep like "I wants to 'study' you!", and I started hiding from herelike she was the pedo bear.

I wouldn't go out of my way to kill any of them, I'd feel too mean.
Although saying that, if I'd found out that Miranda was to have a large role in the 3rd game I may be possessed into changing that... I really couldn't stand her.
