Have you killed off a charater(s) simply to not see them in the 3rd game?

I haven't killed anyone in any of my playthroughs except when forced (virmire). I might get annoyed with certain characters at times but I would never kill them because of it. I have tried to keep everyone alive because what if their is a small chance the more loyal and people you kept alive actually does have some difference in ME3. What if your squad has a better chance of surviving because that cameo does play a small part in helping you. Good examples of this is Mordin, Legion, Tali we definately know will have an impact on ME3 so why wouldn't the others in some way affect ME3 even if it's just a small part.

Edit: Forgot to mention Miranda obviously will play a part as well

Ashley. Just disliked her. But really I should go back and make a save where she is alive, otherwise I'm missing out on alot of content. I hope she and Kaidan do not share the same dialog or something to cut corners. That would suck.

No. I do not kill people just because they annoy me (or creep me out... in Kelly´s case).

Nope. I treat party members I dislike the same way I would if I knew them in real life; I don't talk to them.

I kill off Jacob in most of my files because in my first file he was like "I'll go through the vent" so I was like, "Sure, okay" then he died, and that just annoyed me. Last time I take a video game characters advice when it's not similar to what I was gonna do anyway. I hated Jacob anyway, it's just I wanted to get everyone out alive. But yeah, Jacob's not going to be in my Mass Effect 3 games.

:lol::lol:
Thats hilarious. Same thing happened too me on my first PT.
Then I looked up a guide and I was like "Ohh Ok. Jacob you moron.":P

Yeah... I just thought it would be common sense to NOT take jacob. When I have 3 super tech experts ready, and waiting in the wings. Stupid overeager Jacob, trying to get himself killed.

I've only killed most of the squad in one play through to see how it would impact ME3. But other than that I generally prefer keep everyone alive.

I was very upset when I heard about Mordin, he was my favourite character, so emotionally there's alot to do with it, it was hard but I had to kill him for ME3. I just couldnt listen to him in ME3.. His voice wouldnt be normal.. No fast talking.. No deep inhalements.. No perky Salarian personality that MB just excelled at.

So yeah, I'd kill Mordin.

Sidenote: Love Yvonne's voice for Miranda, Aussie pride. ^^

Yes, Tali. Shes just an awful character and just nerd bait, I don't want to see her ME3 again. Too bad I couldn't sacrifice the rest of the whiny and sickly Quarians....

I just love it when Garrus get impaled by a gigantic metal phallus. What? Just don't upgrade your guns.

I have my first play through that I did ME1 without spoilers and I did ME2 without spoilers, and the same save will be my first playthrough in ME3. In that one, Legion died because A)that Shep hates geth and B) never got a chance to do the loyalty mission.

My next play through was with spoilers and I saved everyone.

Then I played a renegade and killed almost everyone just for fun, but not Kelly.

But in each one of those I saved Wrex in ME1 because I really like Krogan, so I'm playing another Shepard from the beginning where she hates Krogan and Wrex dies.

No. I recruited them and gained their loyalty and trust for a reason. I'm not going to throw their lives away, no matter how much I may hate them.

The Illusive Man always telling me "The people who've sacrificed their lives..." when no one died was getting kind of weird though.

You always lose some of the crew, even if you make it to the base straight away, perhaps thats what he's referring to?

No you don't. You lose absolutely no one if you go to the base straight away. (and of course do what's needed for a NOLB playthrough).

I found it odd too. I assume he's talking about the colonists. Those are the people who always die.

You don't lose atleast one person as soon as you reach the chambers? While Shepard struggles to open the one he's facing?

Eh, maybe I'm misremembering, it's 4:30AM and I havnt done a Suicide Mission since December, which is an oddly long time for me, well one or the other, the colonists are a good example too.

If not the crew certainly that, or perhaps just weary of the 'war' he's been directing.

You only lose people if you-

Didn't research ship ugrades
Pick the wrong person to perform a role
Pick a non-loyal person to fulfill a role
Don't send an escort for the non-combat crew.
Delay going through the O4 after you first get the chance.

Nope the person who burns to death in front of Shep is a colonist. Only if Shep doesn't immediately go to the base does he watch Kelly burn to death.

Shep manages to take out the crew.

My only non NOLB playthrough consists of;

Giving Grunt and Legion to Cerberus.
Not recruiting Thane or Samara.
Jack being killed in Reaper battle.
Exiled Tali dieing in the vents.
Garrus dieing due to no shield upgrade.
Jacob killed due to unloyal Jack.

I end up with; All the crew alive, Miranda, Mordin, Zaeed and Kasumi.

This is my renegade pro human/Cerberus femShep save.

Nope. Every time someoe died it was accidental, except that time I left zaeed on Zorya with my uber paragon. After that I just left him on Omega and then didn't download his DLC whenI changed systems. Though depending on thing in ME3 I may go back and kill some people for their future actions.....
