I have seen a lot of evil twisted sick things; I cannot bear to do harm to anyone that is innocent, that said, I cannot stand people doing harm to others, so I harm them back. And I hate batarians and their slavery, since my grandfather was a slave.

@mauro2222: I would imagine that while Buddhism (at least the Buddhism of mainland China) probably played a role... it is pretty much Taoism personified.

My morality leaves me alone when it comes to gaming but who knows. Maybe I'm secretly the antichrist.
Also, are we going to dance around the obvious correlation between charisma and Renegade players?

I don't play Paragon/Renegade with any of my Shepards. I just look at the choices and decide what fits that Shepard best. After all, Shepard is the hero of the story no matter which path you take so both choices are valid to me. The true determination of "saint" vs "sinner" isn't the choice but the motivation behind the actions.
Example: The rachni queen ....
Paragon - Save her ... A Shepard may save her betting that he will have another "dog" to throw against the "bear" reapers and not because he wants to save her race.
Renegade - Kill her ... A Shepard may put her down because he hears Wrex, knows the history and chooses to not risk the lives of others by freeing her. The decision will leave him forever wondering "what if" but it is a burden he will willingly carry in place of risking the lives of others.
I'm more interested in what motivates the choices you make because that is where that particular Shepard's morality comes out. You can make paragon choices all throughout the game with a manipulative & truly self-centered Shepard or play a pure renegade Shepard that wants to ensure that the galaxy survives the reapers and is willing to carry the burden of what he does to make sure that happens. That's why I find the whole blue/red options garbage in this game ... it might work in Jedi/Sith worlds but it just doesn't seem right in this world.
Or maybe it is just me ... yeah, its just me.
As far as personally? I played a game where the choices were made by me based off what I would do in "real life" and found that according to Bioware's scale ... I was more renegade.

I'm "paragon" when dealing with my crew and other individuals, I'm renegade in everything else. Human "nationalist", pragmatic and cold. Not willing to take risks that endanger the galaxy unless it's benefits are obvious and outweight the risk.
Also I can't play Paragon without wanting to punch Shepard in the face, I don't see the logic in almost all of his decisions.

Paragon because I need to get as much of the galaxy united as possible to take on the reapers. No individual species is strong enough to take them on alone.

Never managed a complete Renegade walktrough in any Bioware Game no matter how often I played it. It´s a game, I know, but I just can´t.
Some Renagade options though are no problem if they apear resonable and pragmatic. Had no problems giving that base to all-your-base-are-belong-to-us-Cerberus. It seamed rather stupid to me to blow the thing off at that time just to annoy good old TIM. Why waste resources?
EDIT: I have to admit that paragon/renegate options are kind off changing in the latest Bioware games. In Kotor, the Dark Side was mainly about threatening people to kill them just "Because I can, Problem?" or extort more money out off them. Insipid.
I prefer the dialog options of DA2, where you can actually choose renegade and sound (very often) determined to get things done your way instead like a stupid little a**h*** without proper manners.

I typically try not to insert my own morality into my Shepards, but some is going to slip in nevertheless. On a couple, I’ve gone against my own morality to achieve on interesting character and playthrough. I have a paragon who is good to a fault, a renegon who is learning to deal w/ aliens, a renegade who destroys everything in her path, (enemies and squadmates alike), a paragade who gives as good as she gets (enemies and squadmates alike), and another paragon who claims she has dealt w/ her past, but needs a drink after every mission.

Usually i would rp a strict Paragon or Renegade, but lately my own morality has been seeping into my current playthroughs making me a Paragade. In my current ME2 file, Shep is a Paragon to his friends, a Renegade to his enemies, but will get the job done regardless if it's a Paragon/Renegade decision.

Mostly this, but I also can take few major paragon decisions and kick the butt of some minor bastards renegadely!

A person who continually risks the entire galaxy and who is more then willing to sacrifice its safety and well being for the sake of satisfying his own morality is simply far too unlikable a character for me to roleplay. I could enjoy it if it all blew up in his face ala Eddard Stark but alas it does not. Instead it all works out and everyone loves him. (except for those small few who don't but they turn out to be eeeeeeeeeeeeeviiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllll)
And before someone starts hurring and durring about "Yeah well renegade choices are all jerky" or whatever, I'm obviously refering to the major choices.

My personal life has a hand in the choices I make in ME. I mostly make Paragon choices as I also like to help people, but I also tend to throw some Renegade options into the mix, but they are usually on things that won't influence major decisions (ex. Shooting the vase in Hock's vault during Kasumi's loyalty quest.)
