Well I have a lot of favorite pairings, mission dependent:

Liara-Garrus (best all around team, and my best buds).
Jack-Zaeed (No tech at all, but not really needed as we pretty much bash our way in).
Tali-Legion (Too much tech, and a frail team, but great for Geth hacking).
Wrex-Garrus (what really needs to be said there).
Miranda-Jack (awkward pairing, but effective in just about any situation).
Miranda and Garrus (A very capable team for any situation, especially when you absolutely have to strip barriers and shields. They were the favored team on my insane runs).

So who will end it with my Shep in ME3? I don't know, We'll wait and see what the situation is, but Liara-Garrus are the front runners.

This. They've seen the beginning and it only makes sense for them to be there for the end IMHO

Depend on the class you play,as a soldier a take ME1:Liara and Tali in ME2:Jack and Tali,and in ME3:Liara and Tali,

I believe you will be alone at the very end of the last mission in ME3, but before that maybe Garrus and either Liara or Vega, depending on what I think of the rest of the characters.

ME3: I want Kasumi and Liara but if not possible then Vega and a new alien Squad mate.

I tend to pick my favorite human squad mate and my favorite Alien. But if i can't have my two favorite squadmates together (Kasumi and Liara), then i'll take ways that are exclusive to ME3.
