I'm with JB for the collector's edition, which doesn't get anything... though tempted to stick as for Skyrim and Arkham City they broke the street date and sold on Tuesday. Hoping for the same for ME3.

wouldn't that be utterly pointless since ME3 is on Origin and thus EA can chuck a steam and say "YOU CAN'T AUTHENTICATE TILL THE 8TH"

edit: hmm disappointing with the pre order DLC but meh w/e I'll get it some other means

As I suggested a page or so back, if your wanting to change which retailer you have a pre-order with for fear you'll cancel and end up with no copy, simply go to your retailer of choice and make a deposit pre-order FIRST.  Bit nervous changing to GAME at this late stage though,never used them before, and hope that i dont preorder with them and then near release they tell me theve run out or something.

Funny went down to GAME this morning to check about a preordering CE to get the Warfare Gear, he said he was still able put it in the system , but he was bit unsure of how it would pan out as he read a email recently saying that they were running out or had run out.

Decided to play it safe and stick with my EB preorder so i definately have it on release day, sux missing out on the N7 Warfare gear though

I was under the impression that ALL pre-orders get the M55-Argus... I switched my pre-order to GAME based purely on that assumption. And now we find out that only EB gets it? *sighs in frustration* This is really, REALLY frustrating. I miss the days when you could just buy the CE and it came with EVERYTHING.

Well, it's probably too late now to change anything. I'm going to just stick with GAME and see what happens with DLC pack releases down the track.

Think you have chosen wisely. Getting the Collector Edition with GAME you will get the N7 Warfare pack (2 items).

If you had got it with EB ,there's only a chance of getting the M55 rifle if they have enough codes on release day. Its a grey area if CE buyers get the M55 or not.

Your actually lucky in America. In Australia were not even guarenteed to get the m55argus from the store that is giving away the M55arguses

I still haven't decided who to get mine from yet. Really tempted to get the Digital Deluxe from Origin.

Pros for Digital Deluxe:
Comes with the M55 Argus and AT12 Raider Shotgun.
Its $10 cheeper.
It should preload and unlock at midnight.

Cons:
Misses out on the cool physical items that the retail collectors edition has

Of coures the biggest deciding factor will be how soon I want it. If I wanted to pre-order in a store the nearest one is over 70km away (I live in a small regional). I don't want to have to drive for about an hour each way to pick up the game. Alternatively getting it delivered by mail is likely to take 2 business days express. So if the game is sent out of release day thursday, I wouldn't get it till monday!

Getting it from Origin seems quite appealing to me.

without factoring in the physical box, the Origin preorder is probably the best offer in Oz.

the only issue is if one of these is preorder only ala the blackstorm/terminus/inferno or if it will eventually come out as buyable DLC.

Never say never, but as you probably know the Mass Effect 2 stuff was never released. (for Xbox anyways,not sure bout the rest)

we like to play day 1, that's mostly the reason to pre order physical or digital as opposed to online physical

So, how is it with BF3 for origin pre-orders? Not that I really "need" the game but I wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. They said it's for US and Canada only though, right?
How do they determine that? What happens if I change my EA/Origin profile to US? Or is it determined by the IP address from which I pre-order? Could I get a buddy of mine in the US to log in with my Origin ID, pre-order ME3 for me and get BF3 with it?

Origin should be IP based, mostly because I can't buy TOR but when I sent my account details to my cousin in the US I could (I don't actually TOR btw I just did it as an experiment).

I received a reply from EB Games about why we get no M55 Argus Rifle for pre-orders in Australia. Seems it might be EA Australia that shafted us on the M55 Rifle. As if we needed more reasons to hate EA. Anyway, here's the content of the response:

Thanks for contacting us!

I have just contacted the vendor for EA and can unfortunately confirm that the N7 Edition does not include the M55 Argus Assault Rifle.

Currently we have been provided the M55 Argus Assault Rifle as an exclusive the Omni Blade edition of Mass Effect 3, as it is not provided as part of the N7 Edition.

At this current point in time we cannot confirm the definition behind ‘channel wide’, however I can confirm that the M55 Argus Assault Rifle is being offered as part of the pre order bonus for Origin customers.
