Has a single Bioware decision ever not made the forums explode? I can't think of one.

Back in the good old days riveting discussions did take place, shocking I know. But that's probably just nostagia talking, and the 'good old days' were just as crappy.

As someone who was on the old threads...yup it's nostagia.

That said there were signifcantly less people so there were a lot less trolls and morons.

I hope you're not referring to the great GMagnum in that category.

I definitely hope he isn't too. GMagnum should be a squadmate or at least get an easter egg in ME3

How does his d*ck taste?

omg hella rude tbh

Well it just seems as if the squad is a bit biased towards one particular game :/..

eh it was to be expected. Garrus, Tali, and Liara have tenure with bioware i guess being the triforce of bioware favoritism tbh.

Garrus and Liara I don't mind, because they actually do things relevant to the story.

I would seriously die of laughter if someone like Legion said "Hella rude, tbh."  That's all I ask for.

Eh I wouldn't mind the squad roster so much if it had Miranda and another squaddie from ME2 (preferably Legion) on it.

As it is. Bleh.

He has an actual reason to join Shepard in ME2.

Tali in ME2 is just-

"Well, I have nothing better to do. I guess I can go"

For Garrus it's literally "Join or die".

That's not doing something relevant to the story. And Garrus's reason to join is exactly the same as Tali's; he/she saved their life, plus their past history with Shepard.

Face it; Garrus may be one of my favourite squadmates, but he's about as plot-relevant as a rock. He could easily be written out of the trilogy and very little would change.

While he is my favorite character I would have to agree Cthulhu. Garrus isn't too plot relevant, thankfully he's a little more in ME3

I was expecting Garrus, Tali, Liara, VS + Miranda because of her role in ME2. And maybe 2 or 3 new guys.

And Tali can't?

Any squadmate could, presumably, but some more easily than others (Liara being probably the most difficult). Tali is the one who uncovers the evidence against Saren in ME1, and is important in the whole geth/quarian plotline. Garrus has none of that going for him.

I also find it funny how some people whine and complain about Tali's "favouritism" and such yet put up no fuss about Garrus's, despite the fact that he's gotten similar treatment.

The majority of ME2 squad mates are more connected to the story than ME1's

Mordin - Genophage

Legion - The whole body recover thing/stalking shep/Geth prespective on way

Miranda/Jacob - Ceberus

I guess Wrex is pretty important too with the Krogan and stuff

But these are the most plot orientated charcters I can think of

Actually they can write anyone out of the main plot if they wanted. Look at Miranda or Jacob. Anyway I don't think they were going to add Garrus without Tali.

Technically, Miranda hasn't been written out of the plot, given her role form the leak. She's still very much a part, just not physically working with Shepard.

I haven't read Jacob.

I actually think his intent was clarification, because I didn't get it either and thought I was forgetting something.

*edit*

And I stand corrected.
