 Dragon Age 2 had Anders and Isabela return for more gameplay. Which  characters from Dragon Ages 1 or 2 do you want to play again for Dragon age 3. 
I would like to play Fenris again for dragon age 3. The warrior elf is a new interpetation on elves since most elves pre Fenris are either Archers or mages.

I´d like an entirely new crew in DA3, though I wouldn´t mind cameos like Nathaniel, Leliana or Zevran in DA2, but not so many.
The whole thing is depending anyway on how much time has passed between DA2 and DA3.

I agree, a brand new crew would be great. Wouldn't mind getting Shale or Oghren back, though.

I would love to see an intertwined story, where you get to play Hawke aswell as the hero of Ferelden.
For companions: Morrigan and Sebastian.
I just hope they will add more personal chats in DA3...

Now that I think about it, I'd like to have Tallis come back. Her quote about walking on water made no sense in the context of the Dragon Age world, but she was still fun to have aboard. Maybe as a regular companion? I'd like to see her role in the Qun expanded upon.

The only one I want to see return is Morrigan. Anders played a vital role in DA2, so I'll expect to see him again, but Morrigan is really the only companion with loose ends; with the exception of Sebastian, who was DLC. I would like to see the champion and Warden make a comeback, as well. And, I'm sure we will see more of Flemeth!

I would like my mage Hawke to return. I mean, Hawke's story shouldn't be over and I really enjoyed the character a lot. I'm a little sad that there will be a brand new protagonist to DA3, according to what's been released so far.

The characters I would like to see make a reappearance though as companions...
#1. Morrigan - There are just too many unanswered questions about her.
#2. Mabari Dog - I miss having a dog as an actual companion, not just some little summoned minion.
#3. Varric - I gotta have my dwarf.
#4. Nathaniel Howe - He's just too interesting of a character. I liked him a lot in Awakening.
#5. Isabella - I like how the pirate queen makes me laugh.

The problem with bringing anyone back is that either you wouldn't pick them up until later in the game or they would revert to being very low level. It sort of worked with Anders because they changed the whole system but it would seem odd suddenly having, say, Fenris back minus his complete skill set.

I'd quite like to see bit part characters that you helped along the way though. So I would mind having Connor, who would now be the right sort of age to be a companion and with whom you could have some really interesting chats, Charade because she is a link to Hawke and again could have some interesting chat, possibly also filling in some detail of what other companions were doing now, and Feynriel, because even if you made him tranquil, it didn't need to be permanent and if he did travel to Tevinter, could give some wonderful insights, plus they could give him some unique and really cool abilities.

Otherwise I am happy with new companions as I find getting to know them and finding out their histories, plus romancing them, all part of the fun.

As a companion the Hawke siblings could pull a Kaidan/Ashley type thing in ME3. And I pretty much require Cassandra.

Why not bring the Architect's messenger back as a companion, or a werewolf i just want to have a monster companion like Dog or Shale again, without having Shale again

I like them all so....any character they choose to develop more is good for me.
