I really liked Finn and Ariane. I'd love to see them make a return.

The problem w/ bringing another awakeing character back is the chance that they died. Like Sigrun did in my game. She died defending the keep.

Considering you could have Anders die in that game and Leliana can die in Origins Bioware has proved deaths do not matter.  Hand waving is what they do.

lol that is true, I suppose. IDK about Leliana, but they explain how Anders is still alive.

None. Thedas is a continent without a mass transit system. Running into familiar people over and over again makes it feel a lot smaller.

But... I do have one exception (two, if you count Flemeth).

If Dragon Age 3 takes place in Orlais, I want to see Morrigan coming back.
Her Epilogue in Origins claims that she managed to work her way into the Orlesian Imperial Court. I would love to know how our rude, unsocial apostate witch managed to accomplish such a feat in what's essentially the heart of the Chantry.

Morrigan, and pretty much no one else. She has in fact gone to Orlais (last we heard) and her story is pretty much unresolved (especially with regards to the OGB). Most cameos in DA2 just felt forced.

I just finished the DA2 Mark of the Assassin DLC and I am now heavily leaning toward having a Chasind as a companion. Orlesians seem to use them as bodyguards, so it'd be reasonable to run across a Chasind here or there.

Now that I think about it, I'd like to have Tallis come back. Her quote about walking on water made no sense in the context of the Dragon Age world, but she was still fun to have aboard. Maybe as a regular companion? I'd like to see her role in the Qun expanded upon.

Exaclty what I was going to say. I was bummed she couldn't be a companion in DA 2 but DA 3 is going to be better anyway, she should be in that one. I agree, I just want cameo appearances. I didn't quite like anyone other than Fenris and Varric. I would love to see of them make cameos, but in terms of companions, no, we need new people.

I admit I laughed, yet I agree with Sylvius here even if I have no hope for it ever happening again.

Regarding NPCs: I personally don't want to see anyone, not because I didn't like them but because after seeing how DA2 treated some DAO characters and cast a Resurrection spell on others regardless of import, I think it is better to totally cut ties with previous instalments of the series.

I wouldn't mind hearing rumors about previous characters, like some commoners commenting about a ship with a female captian leaving the city last week or something, though.

I have no hope for a blank slate PC, but I still hope I can get some enjoyment out of Bioware's games. I liked ME&ME2 well enough ( haven't bought ME3... I admit that I might if I find it dirt cheap ), certainly not in the same way I liked their previous titles so that's why I'm still here.

:)

I thought ME was pretty good, though the dialogue system was poorly implemented.

I found ME2 significantly different, and worse in almost every way (it had more atmospheric environments - that is the only improvement I noticed). I did not enjoy ME2.

Reading about ME3, I think it fixes some of ME2's problems, but exacerbates others. I have no interest in it.

There are three aspects of BioWare's games I have typically enjoyed. I enjoy crafting a detailed character and watching it interact with the world. I enjoy detailed tactical combat. I enjoy exploration. DA2 offered none of those things.

Sigrun. And Shale, in hot lady dwarf form.

Let's have Justice back too, in Anders' re-animated body, bellowing about how Kirkwall was merely a setback.

Chasinds were all that appealed to you in MotA? I hope not.

I enjoyed ME2 but I certainly think that is inferior to ME, by far. I personally like to refer to it as "Pokemon: Mass Effect Edition, recruit and evolve them all!", because thats like... the only thing you do, really.
Add to that that the plot started in ME it's totally thrown away and you will be wondering why the hell Bioware decided to use the same main character and implement an importing feature...

If the ME series is any indication on how Bioware is going to handle recurring NPCs, I don't want to see it. Different characters in each game is the way to go, but they should give better closure their stories so people can let go more easily... well, that's my opinion anyway.

No lol

I had already warmed up to Tallis by watching Dragon Age: Redemption, I'd love to see her pop up again, but ost people don't seem to like the idea of having her as a full companion ...

The Chasind bodyguard just seemed like an interesting character. He barely says anything throughout the DLC until the very end, but his comments in the cave system really has me interested in learning more about the Chasind.

And Deekin. Telling horrible jokes about hatcheting counts.
