Guess the DA3 Villain

a. A villain which depends on who you side with
b. The dark force hinted at in each game (Flemeth? Fen'Harel, maybe they're both the same thing?)
c. A combination between a and b. A "sub boss" who isn't necessarily evil but opposes your goals, and an ultimate evil that threatens both sides (Templar/Mage).

I hope the final boss is at least male this time.
Really? Why is that? I mean - Meredith was a fairly poor character in my opinion, but that had little to do with her gender.
The last two were female: The Mother and Meredith. I just want to fight a male antagonist for the final boss, problem?

Well, normal dragons aren't gods on par with the power of the Maker. I remember David Gaider made a post some time ago where he said that the Old Gods were neither creators nor were they created. They exist outside of the Maker's plan.
So, in a sense they're equal to the Maker's power in godhood and aren't really restricted into a set gender.

After two installments where he was mentally and physically battered enough not to recognize magic when it was done in front of him he'll lose his marbles and, after finally becoming a romanceable companion (for both genders), he'll not only refuse to spend the night in the PC's tent but turn against him/her at the last moment, revealing that he was the mastermind behind Flemeth/the Chantry/the Black Divine/the Architect and Corypheus and the Qunari all together (or their perfet creation, a child of every possible villain)!
The female fans will wax lyrical fanfiction for ever and more while the male fans will rightly say he had a bad case of the blue you-know-whats.
It will be GLORIOUS!

I would not mind if Kirkwall was a stop (and just a stop) along the way during the DA3 journey, especially if at least one of the DA2 cohorts was still living there.

Do you by chance have a link to this EWR?
It sounds like esoterical nonsense in terms of lore and story, so I'd love to find out that its Word of God stuff.

And guess what, they are all dragons
So at some point, im pretty sure flemeth will be the final big bad.
IF DA3 will be the last installment im sure it will be her.
Currently Flemeth is always the catalyst to set the story in motion and the outcome of every game will benefit her scheme.
The Warden in DA1 helped her to keep the Darkspawn in check und weed out some competition.
Hawke helped to throw Ferelden into Chaos. A bit civilwar wont hurt, if you want to take control.
And maybe Mages and/or Templar are a threat to her.
I guess there will be some McGuffin/Magic Feather/Plot Coupon she needs to rise to full power or something/someone holds her back.

Wether this means no more irrelevant popping up of Flemeth in future games, or a future recasting of Flemeth's VA I do not know.

Indeed, and he was supposedly pretty as well.

Kind of lore breaking with the dragons :<, especially how they wrote the males to be the smaller drakes without wings and the females to be the great High Dragons :<.
