Let's all predict the ME3 demo date, I say its Jan 20th
The Tuesday after that is the 24th and the last day of January is also a Tuesday so the ME3 demo could be out by the end of the month

Correct. That's not giving you anything for Mass Effect 3 though.Ghost Lightning wrote...
Actually I think playing the ME3 demo gets you the KoA blades and armor
oic. That is a good question

I wonder if January 17th is too much to hope for. It makes no sense to cross promote somewhat half-assed. Realistically I'd say the 24th is most likely to be correct.Someone With Mass wrote...

I'd say January 24th. That's a Tuesday and it's not the same day as the Reckoning demo. Or if we're really unlucky, January 31st.

What I want to know(and I've just asked via PM) is whether we're going to get something for ME3 through its own demo. You know, like how the DA2 demo gave us an item for the full game.
This popped up in my head because for playing the KoA demo we get items for ME3 AND KoA, but I heard nothing of the sort for the ME3 demo itself, so yeah.
Curiosity.
Actually I think playing the ME3 demo gets you the KoA blades and armor
Well duh(
I was talking about getting Mass Effect 3 items for playing the demo of Mass Effect 3.

Yep. Hence my question. It just seems a little bit of a bummer if the ME3 demo just gets you items for another game but doesn't get you something for the full ME3 game itself.

I'm going to say that as the ME3 demo is going to be used for marketing KoA that it will be out at least two weeks prior to ensure plenty of marketing exposure. That would make it on or before the 23nd of Jan. That and some of the other superfluous demo threads are being locked down, leading me to believe a demo date announcement is forthcoming. Either that or I am reading to much into some simple forum housecleaning. Overactive imagination, my old nemesis, can't you sit out on the ME3 demo speculation.

Yeah. Unless they're off the beaten path.

Do you have to play the demo before the release date to get it?
I would imagine so, as with BF3 the Beta/Demo went away a few weeks before the offical BF3 launch. I guess that depends on whether they use Origins to field the demo.
Wait. BF3 early access isnt happening anymore?

Yeah, and if the demo leaves a good impression with me, hell I may just pick up KoA.

Yes, it doesn't leave a bad greedy-corporate-overlord taste in my mouth. Reasonable promotion that doesn't spit on the fans.

Or I could just go in blind through the demo. That might actually be better.

He/She's not talking about the 'early access' in ME3's demo. The beta for BF3 took place very shortly before the release of BF3, but ended with a little time before launch. He/She's extrapolating that model to ME3 because they're both EA games.Mass Effect Player wrote...

Its an open world RPG being developed by the guy who lead developed Morrowind and Oblivion. Todd Mcfarlane is doing the art, and its being written by R.A. Salvatore.
In other words, perfection.

There's going to be so much rage after people figure out that it's basically being done to test the water for an mmo though.

This a simple, yet good way to promote these games.

Actually the MMO has been in development long before Reckoning, they just thought that the best way to introduce the IP was with a RPG. 38 Studios bought Big Huge Games solely to make the RPG, that's definitely not half-assing it.
