If this game does well, we could have another major chain of RPG games out there.

God I hope so.

I hope so as well. We need a new successful RPG IP

Maybe they could remake KOTOR with this combat/roleplaying style and Mass Effect graphics...I would be in Jedi Heaven.

I can just imagine the possibilities...

Eck, don't make me vomit.  There is not a hint of KOTOR in TOR.

Actually I think if this game were in the Jade Empire universe I'd be much more interested.  I've just had one two many classic European fantasy LoTR-based IPs...does EA really need another Dragon Age?

But I am truly digging the God of War style action mixed with all of that RPG depth.

They also would need to spicen up the cut scenes so it's not all "shoulder over shoulder" bull.

If ME were at all moddable, I probably would have attempted it myself....and failed. :lol:

I've been looking forward to both games, so bring on the cross promotion. I agree with others' concerns, in that helmets should come off this time.....that was a a lazy missing element in ME2

I think I might head down and pre-order KoA:R. Those Omni-Blade Daggers look pretty sweet.

I wasn't originally planning on playing said demo, but its a game I did have an interest in.

Supposedly what Fable should have been after the last two sequels, or something.

It's been confirmed already that the helmet toggle works with the KoA armor.

I am skeptical about this game.  There is way too much "stunt casting" in it with people like Salvatore and McFarlane. Rolston is a good designer, but I think he needs someone with a vision to direct him.

I appreciate what Curt Schilling has done for the hobby.  Hell, he alone as kept Advanced Squad Leader alive by buying the IP off of Avalon HIll.  But as much as a fan as he is, he has always just been a money guy and not a visionary.

Actually I'd say Rolston is pretty good on the "vision" front. Of course he needs some help bringing it to life but I think the game will turn out okay. From what I've seen so far the game will be good at worst and great at best.

I don't know. I hope it does well, hell I'm buying it. But I'm still unsure. It looks great, but I wonder if it'll succeed.

In all honesty, I haven't been too impressed with what I've seen and heard of Kingdoms of Amalur so far, but yes, I'll be playing through the demo JUST to get the unlockables for ME3. Damn my completionist OCD! :P

If the KoA demo does manage to wow me in the meantime, I'll consider picking up that game too. We'll see.

I get the feeling its going to be one of those games where the side content blows the main quest out of the water.

Like DA2?

No, like Skyrim(in some people's minds).

DA2 was just all around bad enough that I refused to purchase any DLC for it. Regardless if it was good or not.

I'm referring to side content in the main game, like side quests, assignments, random tasks, etc etc.

Oh yeah, I'm eagerly anticipating the demo as well.

Not just for the ME3 items, but for the game itself.

Reckoning's going to be awesome because of the class thing. The higher level Fighter classes sound awesome, either being able to being resistant to being staggered or causing enemies to stagger more easily. I also look forward to seeing the greatswords.

I hope the ME3 demo comes out before Reckoning, otherwise we'd be unlocking the items for Reckoning late.

I think I'm going to be a Jack of All Trades in Reckoning. Try out everything, then if I prefer anything over the rest, I'll respec later at one of those Fateweavers.

As far as ME3, I wonder how the Reckoner Knight Armor will hold up to the other armors in game, and how good the Chakram Launcher actually is.

No. You MUST play the demo on the same platform you intend the items to carry over to.

So if you want items for the 360 version of ME3, you MUST play the demo on the 360.

Examples-

Good= 360-360, PS3-PS3, PC-PC
Bad= 360-PS3, PS3-PC, PS3-360

I had barely heard of it prior to the promotion. After it was announced, I looked into it, and now I'm REALLY interested.

So job well done EA, Bioware, 38 Studios, and Big Huge Games.
