that's east coast so sometime between 0300 and 0500 EST....simultaneous release with pacific time so just time difference in the way.

Don't expect it out at midnight though. Midnight for us is 9 PM for Pacifics.

I wouldn't bother checking before 0300 EST at the earliest.....North America XBL releases are simultaneous and they never happen before the whole continent switched day so after 0000 PST which is 0300 EST though more towards 0400 to 0500 EST timeframe is when you're most likely to see it drop.

I plan on staying up till hours after I get my grubby hands on the demo. It's pretty long, and you have to play it multiple times if you want to actually try out all the content. Demo involves the intro stage which you can explore at your own pace, then once your out you talk to some guy who kinda sets you on your path at which point you have 45 minutes to do whatever you want with in the area available. Which is 3 areas + quests.

It sounds like the best demo ever with that kinda freedom, only real way to do a demo for that kinda game if you think about it. Good times will be had.

Speaking of which, do you have any news regarding the depth of their character creation? Never saw anything regarding this. I've got a hunch that all we get are standard male/female, hair, facial hair, preset face structures, and that's it.

Dunno about the demo's character creation.

It'd be friggen mint if they gave us the full on double CC all the way across the sky though.

4 races (2 human, 2 elven), not sure the extent of facial customization as they haven't gone heavily into that but I saw sliders. Skin color hair color, hair styles, tattoos/face paint, jewlery that kind of thing.

As for actual abilties, theres 3 tabs. Might, Finesse and Sorcery. Each one has 25-26 skills on it of varying max lvl (3 to 6 depending). Takes a total of 123 skills to max out any given tab, you get exactly 123 skills by lvl 40.

You actually start the demo/game off at lvl 0, and hit lvl 1 by the end of the intro of which you get 3 'free' points during the intro stage. So when its over you've had 6 to spend, 3 per lvl, max lvl of 40.

There is a lot of stuff there, and a lot of it can be used in different ways. Anyways good amount of stuff. All of which is in the demo, full char customization.

Dev on their forums said demo would have full CC - so thats what im expecting. Oh also theres 8 'skills' (like persuation and stealth) so... stuff like that to throw points at as well.

As far as I can tell, the main character customization comes from the skill trees and the freedom to mix and match fighting styles. Character appearance customization seems like it will be short and simple, nothing too in-depth. Sliders are good news though.

Aight. Just making sure, 3 pages back I thought I read they were forcing a helmet take-off for cut-scenes and stuff.

ME3 has three helmet options:

1) Always on
2) Always off
3) Off during dialogue

I'd imagine it does yea considering how much ease of use things there adding in. They even got the DA junk-page for there inventory. You can, from looting a chest/deadbody/whatever compare an item with what you have equipped, equip it directly, or toss it to junk and auto-sell all junk.

That's one of my favorite features from DAO on console and DA2. More games need to use it. It should be standard on penalty of mockery.

Todd McFarlane didn't do any of the art or concept art, slimgrin. It's a miss-conception from interviewers and people hearing things second hand. He gives input, rather heavily when in relation to animation bits.
