When I've read the title I was sure I'd have to buy Reckoning to get the armor, but I was surprised.

Quick question I'm wondering about: if I play the KoA demo on my PSN account that's tied to my EA account, will it unlock the weapon and gun on my, also tied, 360 account or will I have to play the KoA demo on my 360 account in order to get the weapon and armor on it? (Since I play ME on my 360)

I only ask because I have limited space on my 360 hard drive but plenty on my PS3.

Aside from that, interesting armor. I wonder how well it'll mesh with my Vanguard. Kestrel armor set the bar pretty high IIRC.

If I play the demos on different platforms, will I still be eligible for the Reckoning & Mass Effect 3 Crossover items? (For example, Mass Effect 3 on PC and Reckoning on Xbox 360.)

No, you must play the Reckoning and Mass Effect 3 demos on the same platform to be eligible for the crossover items.

You can download the demo on 360, play & unlock and then delete the demo and you'll have both the items unlocked at no cost to your HDD's remaining space.

I hope we won't have to keep the demos installed. i usually don't have a lot of space on my xbox hard drive.

No you won't....once the items are unlocked they are added to your EA profile entitlements see "Your registered game content" under "Profile" to the left of this page near the top. Once that is done the demo's presenceon your HDD becomes irrelevant.

Nope, it'll be connected to your EA account (or Origin account as it's now known). As soon as you've logged in at the main menu and completed the demo, the DLC will be tied to your account, so you can get rid of it straight afterwards.
:ph34r:Ninja'd. I'm always too slow...

Meh, I'm more interested in Amalur by now, anyway.

Sweeeet. Thanks for the heads up. Even if it looks a little out of place, armor that adds more melee and weapons damage, I'm all for that, as long as the helmet toggle remains. Glass cannon Infiltrator monster, here I come! :D

And as many have said, this is cross-gaming promotion done right!

Good job Todd. It's got a similar vibe as the Eddie Frank incarnation of The Redeemer. I dig it.

Good to see it's not like the Dead Space 2 / Dragon Age 2 cross promotion.

Wow, this is cross-promotion done right. (please take note, EA)
Certainly will download and play KoA demo now.

I think the armor looks great, love the spikes.
Will come in handy when I go medieval on Reapers :P
(Assuming the helmet can be removed, of course)
Gun looks pretty generic, imho.
Anyone knows what boosts the armor gives you?

Also, this means we get ME3 demo before Feb 7 (otherwise cross-promotion makes no sense).
Yay!

Sweet !
I wasn't aware of the existance of a game Amalur whatever, but I'll play the demo to get the ME3 stuff.

I just hope there will a toggle to hide the helmet, otherwise... dissapointment..

Brilliant. They're letting me play a demo of a game I hadn't heard about. Whoever thought of this should get a promotion.

Yeah my thoughts as well.  Clearly good move for Amalur folk to get people curious about their game and try and draw some new customers in with the demo.

And as been said: Helmet toggle!!!!!    This better have it!!!

You had to buy DS2 to get items in Dragon Age right?

It says in the Recknoning FAQ installation of the Origin application is not required. You only need to log into your Origin/EA account (which we all have).

Edit: Ninja'd by two hours. I should learn reading threads.

Worked for me:

1) thought "WTF is this game?"

2) googled "kingdoms of amalur"

3) found that it's RPG (probably ARPG)

4) saw this line " Ken Rolston, the lead designer of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, acts as the game's executive designer" on Wiki

5) got super excited (always happens to me when I see word "Morrowind")

6) decided to keep an eye on game
