You are correct but I was going to get gold anyways to at least give the Multiplayer in ME3 a shot even though im almost pretty much anti Multiplayer

I'm going to try fiddling with the graphics settings.  Maybe 1080p is too high res?

I tried to change resolution to smaller but it still doesn't work.. :|

$5 bucks a month that gives you a better service than elsewhere?

I'd pay it. And I do. I'm glad I do, cause it meant I got the demo earlier than most and was here to console them for their issues and worries.

Exactly. I might be able to justify the expense if I played online, but as a single-player gamer, I'm not going to pay for a "Gold Account" just because I want to play demos on the day they're released.

Edit: Also like to point out that it's not $5 per month. It's $60 per year. If you want to go month-to-month, it's $10 per month. I might be able to justify spending $5 for a month of online enjoyment, but not $10, $25 (three months) or $60, especially when I'm already paying $15/month for SWTOR.

On 360 I played on 1080p(I always do) and I had no black screen ever. Thought I'd throw that out there.

The 360 is way different.  My guess is the issue lies with AMD graphics cards and their less-than-stellar drivers.

I've used the same email address but passwords are different! Anyway, does anyone know how to check if the two accounts are connected?

By the way I'll check if they're connected as the demo download is finished, I suppose!

Go to Profile>Your Registered Game Content and look underneath "Your registered Game content" and it'll show you what Email address and xbox/PSN gamertag are connected to your Origin account.

I had a technical issue where I had to restart the demo, but I didn't have to do the well again and it still let me unlock all the mAss effect stuff so if anyone has to restart. You will be just fine. Holla!

This came to mind while I was playing the demo:



The gameplay was pretty good depsite the slightly annoying camera angles, and the graphics were alright.
However, for most of the demo I felt like I was just having names thrown at me with no explanation. There's a difference between expanding on back story and just throwing a list of fantasy-sounding words at the player with no explanation. And the bit that showed the villain laughing maniacally while sitting on a spiked throne in front of some lava or something didn't really help. It just seems like rather generic fantasy to me. 

And after Mass Effect, it was kind of a shock to the system to the system to not hear your character's voice.

Still, it was rather enjoyable and I got a set of armour and a gun out of it for ME3, so all round it was pretty worthwhile.

One thing to note - you have to play for 45 minutes to unlock the gun. Reaching the main objective seems to cut that time short and end the demo before unlocking the gun.

Uhm... anyone encountering a black screen of nothing while in game. Sounds and music go nicely, but the screen was black as hell until I pressed Esc. There I could see the menu all nicely, but when I resumed I kept seeing the menu.

Finished the demo on 360, very nice! I was keeping an eye on this game already but this demo has really convinced me!

And the ME3 items are nice too, of course.
