If I download the demo on Steam, will I still be able to obtain the ME3 goodies? I'm not putting Origin on my PC until I have to, when ME3 comes out.

You should be able to, I'd hope. Its still the PC version, but I can't confirm or deny that.

That was... grueling...

I tried plowing through the 45 minutes initially but then came to the realization that it doesn't pull over to the full game and I'll just end up losing nearly 2 hours of progress, so I went on a murderous rampage instead.

And then my console crashed, so I just tied a string around my D-Sticks so that I could watch a Half Life mod that takes place entirely within one elevator for 45 mins instead.

Time well spent.

I love Reckoning's art style. I'm glad people are playing the demo. When I get home, I'll download it. I already have both games pre-ordered so it will be nice having some excellent armor and weapons for both.

I sincerely hope you unlock your goodies. If you get the prompts, you should be fine. You'll probably have to link your EA account(same as the one you log in here with) at the start though.

Reckoning's art style is refreshing as hell.

To earn The Chakram Launcher, you must play all 45 minutes and get the prompt that informs you that you unlocked the gun for Mass Effect 3.

Thanks. I'm enjoying it, but I want to take a break. I want to get the launcher so I have it out of the way. I'm enjoying the combat.

The art-style is quite refreshing.

Possibly a really stupid question, but after accepting the EA Terms & Conditions, then accepting the EA Privacy Policy, it came up with a prompt asking if I was willing to share my "personal and gameplay details" with 38 Studios. Something something something, blah blah blah, with regards to future DLC etc. I clicked No, and it did pop up that I'd unlocked the ME3 armour.

I feel like such a n00b, but did I really unlock the armour? Or should I have clicked yes and let 38 Studios pillage whatever random info they wanted?

I believe you have to finish it. Don't quote me on it but I'm pretty sure you do. If you don't want to play, you can just stand idly by in some corner and let the counter run out. Pausing your game (or going to the inventory screen) stops the counter so don't do that.

If you get tired, pause. Time doesn't continue while paused, in a conversation, or while viewing a prompt or screen.

Don't just let it run out though. That's lame, ha.
