So glad this is my last ever bioware game.

BioWare's hands are tied....EA is the one forcing spyware on fans but beyond that there's little reason not to continue enjoying Bioware's games on a console. Playing a free demo isn't too much to ask for free awesome content is it?

indeed

It is in the BSN, as many would say: "Time is money!".

This is great, extra items and I don't even have to buy a different game for it! (Like with DA2 and Dead Space 2). I was planning on getting Amalur regardless, but this is good for those who don't have an interest in that game.

Who the heck thinks these things up?

I'd really love to see a crossover with a Care Bears game. Maybe we can have Shepard in a black bear suit like Sean Connery in The Avengers. Hm... imagine how cool the Suicide Mission briefing in ME2 would have been.

Free stuff for free? How could I refuse?

The armor looks like something that would end up bothering me eventually (Hug me,
Tali! Don't mind the spikes!) but the Chakram launcher sounds interesting. AND, Reckoning sounds like a good game, so I might actually enjoy the demo.

THIS is how cross-promotion should work. WIN-WIN for both consumers and for EA.

I've had my eyes on KoA for a while now. This promotion is absolutely perfect for me.

Really? The armor and the gun don't look particularly ridiculous at all for the ME universe. And having Seth McFarlane design them? And the fact they are free?

Furthest thing from an insane cross-over with a children's franchise in my book.

I'll echo some things other people are saying:

1) Excellent promotion - was going to try Amalur demo anyway but now definitely will make sure to and play the whole way through.

2) Helmet toggle for this and any bonus armor. Actually, please make each piece usable with other armor. In ME2, I understand the collector armor wouldn't have made total sense to do this, but most/all other bonus armors could've/should've been been compatible with other armor pieces, had color customization and helmet toggle but didn't.

3) Looks cool. I don't love it but it's cool and anything to add to the experience is welcome. On that note, I like the ME3 inspired armor in KoA better and if there's any other armor that you could throw in inspired by other games, that'd be cool.

4) Yes, okay - KoA demo is next week. Still haven't answered when ME3 demo is, that I've seen.

5) unrelated to this specific armor but related to character customization: I hope there's more options when editing your head, specifically with hair. I was disappointed that ME2 didn't add anything new in that category. I can't imagine it'd take much time in the grand scheme of things. Not a huge issue, but it's a request. Also, I hope we can edit our character in a way similar to how we could in the DA2 Black EMporium - Not having to start from scratch but editing the face we already made. It'd be nice to have my same Shepard but maybe her shaved or grew a beard in the past two years.

Cool new toys for my Shepards, and maybe for Kingdoms (if I get the latter), all for the low low price of free? I'm sold. Image IPB

I can't believe some people are complaining about this.

This game actually looks quite good as well, I might get it after ME3 along with Dragons Dogma.

I wonder if the visor is going to be completely opaque or transparent.

Because I like it when it's opaque. Looks a bit silly when you can see the Shepard's face behind the visor.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is going to be GOTY. Story driven, open world, lots and lots and lots of stats, cinematic presentation with a silent protagonist, oodles of interesting factions, Diablo-esk loot and bound nicely together in a whole with genuine action combat said to be a mix between Fable II and God of War. And the lead designer is of TES fame.

Cannot wait for Reckoning...its going to kick ass!!

I'd imagine that it's opaque. The Redeemer designs that this seems influenced by also featured obscured eyes.

Well, now I'm going to play the demo. This game looks like DAO and Diablo's baby. Anyone been following it more closely?

Brilliant. They're letting me play a demo of a game I hadn't heard about. Whoever thought of this should get a promotion.

Worked for me:

1) thought "WTF is this game?"

2) googled "kingdoms of amalur"

3) found that it's RPG (probably ARPG)

4) saw this line " Ken Rolston, the lead designer of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, acts as the game's executive designer" on Wiki

5) got super excited (always happens to me when I see word "Morrowind")

6) decided to keep an eye on game

pretty much the same for me, save for the fact that it's a universe created by R.A. Salvatore plus its not an online game.
interest increased exponentially :)

Kingdoms of WHAT?

I guess it's a smart move to team this game up to ME3 (Like DA2 and Dead Space 2) because I've never heard of this game before today.
