Exactly. I might be able to justify the expense if I played online, but as a single-player gamer, I'm not going to pay for a "Gold Account" just because I want to play demos on the day they're released.

Edit: Also like to point out that it's not $5 per month. It's $60 per year. If you want to go month-to-month, it's $10 per month. I might be able to justify spending $5 for a month of online enjoyment, but not $10, $25 (three months) or $60, especially when I'm already paying $15/month for SWTOR.

Pro-Tip for all Xbox silver users who don't want to pay for Gold just to play the demo: If you create a new silver account, you get a month of gold for free. Because it's a seperate account, I don't think you'll be able to access the demo with your main account, but you'll at least be able to try out the Alamur demo (and the ME3 demo if it requires the same gold restriction) and other gold features for a while. This free month of Gold only applies to the first three silver acounts you create on your 360 console. If you've already created three accounts, you're **** outta luck.

Nope.  Your XBL isn't tied to your EA account via your email.  It just knows your gamertag.

It doesn't matter. All that matters is your EA account. The email you sign in here with should be the same you sign into with when you play EA games.

Check by going to Profile on the left, then Registered Game Content.

If your gamertag is listed in the top left, you're good.

Last I checked 50%.... the poor servers must really be getting hammered....

How does the stuff unlock? Do we get emails with codes in them?

can i have some help guys it said i unlock the items for ME3 but i go on the Bioware website and look at my registered game content and i dont see it any help please.

No, it'll be linked to your account. When you play ME3, it'll be a free download from ME3's equivalent to the Cerberus Network.

Why do we have to link our accounts to this website? Why can't it be checked marked on our consoles showing that we have done the demo when we play Mass Effect 3? I am not linking my gamertag to this website where at one click of a button my access to EA content would go boom boom.

Any way to check what unlockables are unlocked? I got that pop-up for the armor when I booted the demo up, but after the trailer at the end there was no message about the chakram launcher and I'm just curious if I got it or not.

Bioware didn't update their registered game content lists to include the items yet.

Chris will let us know when they do.

and a really long list of DAII things.... I know I unlocked that staff.. started the game... checked the chest... and it wasn't there.... had other dlc stuff.. like black emporium, the dog

meh, I already started origin download and it's flying along at nearly a meg a second, I didn't know my internet could go so fast.

The message for The Chakram Launcher should've been received right before the demo ended, prior to the trailer.

Because your gamertag isn't linked on this site. Until it is, you will get NOTHING that you unlocked for any of Bioware's games.

When you play EA games, they ask you at the start about your EA account. It has to link to the same one you log in to the BSN with.

Because that's the method they chose in which to deliver bonus content.  They're trying to give you a reason to use their sites and such.  If you don't want to play along with their scheme, then they deny you the bonus content.

But if i link my gamertag to this website, they then have the power to deny me access to my games. That is why i only have DA2 assigned to this account because if i do get banned, i only lose DA 2.
