Okay, I know this is probably going to be an obvious answer. So I just launched the KoA Demo (360) and it just said I gained the exclusive armor for the ME3. Do I still have to play the demo or was that just a pop-up saying I would gain it if I completed it. I'm asking because I'm not really interested in completing the Demo.

You have to play the 45 minutes to unlock the Chakram launcher.

Thanks. So r u saying it's timed or the Demo is about 45 minutes

Its timed.

There's Character Creation, the intro level, and THEN you get a 45 minute timer to do what the hell you want.

Took me over 2 hours to beat the demo.

If I download the demo from Steam do I still get the items for ME3, or do you have to download from Origin?

You'll still get the items for your PC version of ME3. Steam or Origin, it doesn't matter.

If you agreed to the ToS and didn't opt-out, yes. (For saying for example, the whole datamining part in it)

Also am I the only one that was disappointed with that demo? It looks and feels like a bad port (sup having to click the sliders about 5 times before they react) and if anything just comes close to DA2, which isn't necesarrily good.

I used a sword at the beginning, but once I picked up daggers, I stuck with them, so I can't really comment.

Yeah daggers were my weapon of choice as well when I played. I used a sword enough to know that Fable III's combat is better though. So far anyway. Maybe we can unlock new moves or something.

You unlock new moves as you level up and put points in the respective trees and talent pools.

I love* that they went back to the Silent Protagonist

Not a fan, I take it.

So how exactly am I supposed to get the AR? It says I can't complete the main quest so, does that mean I already gained the AR? Or is this the point were I just screw around and wait 45 minutes?

I liked the game but I didn't like the silent Protagonist. The fact that half the dialog blew by like it has just downed a pound of pure sugar didn't help. I remember the dialog skipping issues in KotOR II...it kinda killed that game for me. The silent protagonist I can deal with, but I think giving them a voice makes the character more believable.

Screw around for 45 minutes (timer is on the pause menu) and it'll unlock automatically

I don't know where all this hate comes from, I just finished the game demo and I have to say for a $15 game it looks ok...

Wait it's selling for $60? Really?

No worries, I'll just wait until the day after release and pick up one of the many used copies that will be in the store. I might even get it for $5-$10 if I can wait a week.

You get the AR after the 45 minutes are up.

Thank you. From playing maybe 30 minutes, does any one feel like this is a modified Fable clone?

Just don't STAY on the pause menu, as the timer won't go down that way.

True, I thought that was implied but of course in my mind it was, might not be inherently obvious.

Back on the silent protagonist: in Knights of the Old Republic I thought it made sense because what you said was written out entirely; this seems to be like Mass Effect where the conversation wheel is the gist of what you say, if that makes sense? So in this style of set up it feels like the protagonist should have a voice. to me at least.

Combat reminded me of Alice: Madness Returns, except not as fluid. Getting hit mid-dodge is damn annoying.

Wow, that was really, really buggy. I hope the ME demo is better than that.

First time I played it, it hard locked my XBox half-way through. And, since you cannot save in the demo, I had to start all over.

Second time I played it, audio completely cut out on me close to where I hard locked. All I got were ambient effects. No music, no dialog. And dialog would rapid fire through whatever they were saying so that, with subtitles, I could only read the last sentence that they said. It made it impossible to follow the game.

And then there was the horrific geometry clipping everywhere. This game makes Skyrim look like a paragon of QA testing.

But I played long enough to get freebies.

Tough luck with the bugs, I know how that's like.

So, I'd recommend getting a newer generation 360, to avoid those sorts of hardware-related issues in the future, when you can. I might eventually have to do that again myself, but my current console has been okay so far. *crosses fingers, and knocks on wood* :?

And now I'm off to get that demo downloaded and take it out for a spin!
I just hope I don't experience any buggy issues myself. I have enough with my darn controller, atm. :(
