Its classified as an assault rifle but fires explosives much like the Falcon Assault rifle which Bioware teased a few months back. Both the Chakram launcher and the Falcon use thermal clips.
How exactly this weapon plays out in game is hard to say, there really wasn't anything like it or the Faclon in Mass Effect 2.

Yep. If there's one thing EA's always been undeniably good at, it's their cross-pomotions. I also googled this Reckoning game and it looks like a very ambitious and original action RPG. Plus R.A. Salvatore? Wow! So yeah, EA's promo works.Fredvdp wrote...
Brilliant. They're letting me play a demo of a game I hadn't heard about. Whoever thought of this should get a promotion.
But I won't lie, I really hoped for Dead Space armors in ME3 since the designs would work just perfectly

Wasn't on the table. They don't have a DS game to promote right now. Same reason we aren't seeing a DA cross-promotion this time.

The ME3 armor actually looks pretty good. I don't really care about the omni-blade daggers though. Glad to see Amalur getting some spotlight though.

For people who were asking about Origin app/client being required for either of the demos, don't worry. On Reckoning site (both Forum FAQ & website) it says Origin app/client won't be mandatory for either Reckoning or ME3 demo. Only Origin account (which is the same as BSN and your ME2 account)

My guess is that info on demo will be revealed 17th - something like "Remember crossover promotion? Demo for KoA is here while ME3 demo will be released X" - and actual demo will be released either 24th or 31st. Something says me that it will be 31st.
