That's not the problem: I can play all I want, but since it won't let me log in, I can't get the unlock.

I'm sure it'll fix itself. I never actually experienced any log in issues but it seems quite a few are. I hope it doesn't stay.

It let me log in once, but the damn thing locked up on me before I could get the gun.  Hasn't worked since.

I had an issue logging in sometimes on the windows version, I went into my userfolder\\Documents\\My Games\\Reckoning and deleted 0.profile and {emailadress}entitlements.cache file.
After I booted up the demo again, it'd let me log in.
It could be you'd only need to delete one of those, I didn't try. Removing both atleast worked for me.

Also started out with black screen, fixed it messing with the graph options so not a big issue.
Didn't crash for me.

Wow. I'm surprised so many people are having issues. I encountered one graphical glitch, but that was it. Found it totally acceptable for a demo.

Ok I got the Reckon-Knight armor for ME3 in my content....

But I didn't get the Chakram Launcher because I didn't wait the 45 mins did I? O_o

You can load the game back up and let it sit.  As long as you are not "paused" or in a dialogue screen you should be ok.  I am not sure if the '20 min warning' stops the clock or not.

I got the gun unlock even though I had to exit out and restart a few times because of crashes.

Yeah no glitchy demo issues on my end either. As per your earlier question LPPrince I think the combat actually reminds me a bit of bastion. A LOT of Bastion actually, only far more complex in what you can pull off and whats at your disposal. But the whole idea of 2 weapons, each to a specific weapon, a block button thats a shield you never see except when your blocking, dodging all that yeah.

Combo wise reminds me of... a lot of actiony games. But tied to, or married on top of, RPG mechanically driven engine. It's all so damn easy to use, but you have to keep on your toes or it can all go easily downhill. Or if your trying to piece to much together, thinking about it to much it can get overwhelming.

I can see that being amazing once you have a full list of abilities and get used to where you have them mapped. Just stringnig stuff together one after another. Definitely buying this day it comes out.

its funny. I actually adore Bastion, but I disliked combat in this game. I think i know why. camera. I felt like I had NO control over my character, where it was facing, etc. the camera was too close for typical third person view, but not close enough to be over the shoulder view. and it kept turning my character, so I wouldn't be facing correctly and not even realize it untill after mana expensive attack would miss completely.

and it doesn't have Bastion's charm,IMO.

thankfully, I finally got it to work long enough to get the launcher.

edited.  I did get this amusing glitch that I just had to screenshot.  eventualy thehead reapeared but for a while, it was amusing :P

When I started it up the second time, it said it couldn't log in. But I fired up Origin (and it connected fine, of course) and just left it running, and the game didn't care the next time I launched it. It could be unrelated (and lord knows auto-login on startup was broken for months in all BioWare's stupid games), but it was my first step when trying to connect.

So a particularly boring 45 minutes later, and I have both unlocks.

Sorry Bio-Ware, but that game looks like it's for 13 year old's, I enjoy a more realistic experience and your Mass Effect games are on top with BF3 being the best, but thanks for the additional items for ME3. You guy's do one hell of a job!

This game has nothing (nothing) to do with BioWare.

The cross-promotion is forced by EA (publisher, and owner of BioWare). This is not a product of Canada.

Least on console/using a controller you do have control over the camera directly. I never actually had that problem of being unsure where I am or where I'm facing. However the camera is supposed to pull out further for combat to give you a better view, and I feel like it doesn't exactly 'do' that as well as it should.

Also they use floaty, ease up to speed for turn radius which is a big no no when doing controller turn speeds. But that's not much of an issue really for this kind of game.

Question: Why does the rifle have a gun barrel if it shoots ammunition discs? In the picture and video below, we can see that the disc is shot out from a groove above the gun barrel, so why is the barrel itself still there? Any thoughts?

Played the demo all the way from beginning to it's end after the 45 minute countdown expired - didn't have a single problem with server conections failing or whatnot (quite a shock, as those kind of things usually happen for me) and recieved both the Chakram Launcher and Reckoner-Knight Armor for ME3 (and they're indeed listed under my "Registered Game Content").

As for the game itself? It's not bad by any stretch for an action-RPG, but playing Skyrim in recent months has sorta colored my perception of what I do and don't like for that type of game - the "cartoonish" design and style of Amalur didn't really gel with me as much as the "realism" of Skyrim does, plus I miss the interactiveness and skill/level progression of the latter game (although I do like the combat of Amalur, but it's a tad "floaty", plus this is definitely one of those cases where a controller would be far better to use than a keyboard and mouse).

That said, it was hilarious as all hell to watch as my red-headed elf girl performing stealth kills on unsuspecting enemies while all the while she was in her barely-there underwear. :P

Not really the place for this, but if you look at other guns in the ME universe, they all have multiple barrels, too.

Question: since the ME3 demo comes out after Amalur's release date, are the N7 armor/omniblade daggers some high lvl stuff a la Blood Dragon or stuff that help early game that get replaced? Seems kind of weird to wait a week for demo then all those cross promotion stuff is weaker then stuff you already looted

No, all the promotional stuff is meant to give you good starting equipment. Something that'll probably carry you to 10-ish (guessing with that, 40 is max lvl) but nothing amazing. Considering the games content is around Skyrim in size I dunno who buys it day 1 (like me) will have any use for other then alternate chars later on. But you know what? by that point ME3 will be out and ill be playing that instead of making a 2nd character, least not for half a year down the road.

Oddly enough, while the graphics are better on PC than on PS3, I actually like the controls better on PS3. (I'm playing both demos 'cause I do plan on getting ME3 for my PS3 eventually :P)

I played through the demo on my 360 and it worked fine. The game reminds me a lot of the first Fable game. I don't think I will be buying this anytime soon, but the demo is passable. EA's cross promotional tactic is interesting though. I personally like this idea a lot more than getting in game items for buying a 20 oz bottle of soda.

This demo was awesome until it ended lol, because when it ended I felt like I must have the game. Spent the last 2 minutes of the demo slaughtering the town folk but overall this game does have more of a Fable 1 feel to it than anything else.

Now to check and see if I have my items

I didn't think it was gonna be good but I was so wrong. I want both games now. Great job by EA getting the fans of one game interested in another. Can't hate this move.

Woo-hoo. Got the Reckon armor and Chakram Gun :)

Gave the demo another playthrough. Definitely like the concept of rogue-mage. I love how you can swap your weapons literally on the fly, with that awesome rolling technique

Personally I was surprised on how much I enjoyed it. It felt like a good combination of WoW art style mixed with Bastion Gameplay. Honestly I don't mind the style too much its a nice break from all the super detailed realistic games these days. I had a real euphoria feel with it as if I was playing an old PS2 game. May just be me.

Lots of games have more of a console feel to it but players who only play PC will tell you otherwise. I also felt like it's just an overall better feel on console, like most games nowadays.

On that note, I played KOA on the 360 and I didn't experience any glitches so far, and I played through the demo twice. Huh.

Now I wonder how the ME3 demo will turn out.

Now I have a question: Since both ME3 items are in my content, I can delete the demo? I liked it, but I gotta clear space. >.> stupid 13GB hard drive.
